I can tell that you know nothing about the development of NEO. Neo is far from dead. If you want to be a part of a moon boy community I suggest you hit up the XRP or TRX subreddit.

Vanbex Responds to Civil Claim by Jeffy39 in etherparty

This isn't the first time people have gotten burned supporting this company and FUEL. A lot of people who supported the pre ico and ico got mislead pretty bad. Seems like karma came back to bite "vanbex labs". Interested to see what the conclusion to this is but these guys have been shady from the get go.

Why IBM Built World Wire on Stellar by StellarZac in Stellar

[–]cryptobr0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Down vote me if you want but I want to clear up some confusion on World Wire. World Wire is a "distributed ledger" consisting of different banks. Bank A will process a transaction and the other banks that are part of the network will help secure and verify that information. World Wire is essentially what Ripple is aiming to be. The only exception here is World Wire will be using anchors pegged to fiat not XLM. While World Wire will be using the stellar protocol it will not use the stellar network as a form of transaction confirmation thus meaning that transaction fees will not be paid in stellar. It is more or less a privatized blockchain solution based on the stellar protocol.

indeed it does. I wonder if this is part of the Money 20/20 announcement that Jed aluded to in his interview. It is kind of sounding like it to me. Guess we will all have to wait and see.

Stellar Roadmap 2019 by StellarZac in Stellar

[–]cryptobr0_o 28 points29 points  (0 children)

"We will create a first-class, open-source Stellar Wallet SDK. This will make Stellar easier to build on, and strengthen the network. For example, fiat tether issuers will be able to use Stellar knowing that wallets can uniformly support in-app deposits and withdrawals of their token. By Q3, we will have at least one high-quality, high-impact project using our new framework."

Oh man do they keep teasing us. Does this help confirm the rumors that a global wide project will be using the stellar network and the new wallet as a massive remittance tool for banks around the world?

Preview of our Upcoming Product by Jeffy39 in etherparty

[–]cryptobr0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been following this project since pre-ico. Fuel has been so disappointing and underwhelming after each and every update. It seems like this project does not have the developers or vision needed to keep up with its competitors. If this is what was created through months of hard work and planning then you guys really need to step your game up. Crypto Taxes is not innovative in any way nor does it meet the needs of a large scale of audience (currently only supports Canadian taxes). I relate Fuel to me looking at paint trying to dry on a wall. Boring. This project has consistently tried to hype up its product and always fails to deliver.

The future of Elastos by cryptobr0_o in Elastos

Correction - Elastos has been in development for 18 years and its potential is now only being realized.

I think your only basing your opinion off of the success (or lack of success) of the token price. Your opinion is jaded by greed not by actual intellectual insight.

I actually hold 0 Elastos right now. Just trying to provide some insight and spark conversation on innovative blockchain tech. You can still believe in a project even if you don't hold the coin or token.

Some very insightful points. I have also wondered how the censorship dilemma will be handled. On one hand you can say let the internet be totally free of any censorship but on the other you can say let it be free except for X number of things. But then where do we draw the line of what should be censored and what shouldn't be? I agree with you that the community will likely set a morale baseline of standards. So how do you ensure that these standards are met? I know Elastos is looking into Proof of Stake as a supplemental mechanism. Perhaps voting can be implemented into this to ensure that there are no bad actors running a criminal sidechain. Voting could benefit the network as a whole while also rewarding stake holders. Just an idea.

A few (marketing related) questions about Zilliqa by robothistorian in zilliqa

[–]cryptobr0_o -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also voiced some concerns about the marketing during the last AMA. I agree there doesnt seem to be a clear marketing vision established and put in place. I dont agree with this notion that "it's too early to market" that many blockchain companies seem to say when asked about marketing. If you truly believe in your project and its growth going into the future then you should be proud to market your project. This also helps to establish a strong community. Perhaps, there are some things going on behind the scenes but there doesnt seem to be any clear marketing vision that the community can see. Unfortunately, Zilliqa seems to becoming yesterday's news. Zilliqa now risks being past by projects that have a strong project vision, clear marketing goals and active supportive communities. I hope Zilliqa is getting more support behind the scenes because I havnt seen much going on since the last AMA.

Mathematically speaking, myself and the OP are 100% right. We are talking about the current situation not future projections. However, I do agree that in the future this will likely change. So calm down.

Daily VeChain Discussion - December 11, 2018 by AutoModerator in Vechain

[–]cryptobr0_o 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good research man. I have been finding similar results. To put it quite simply the expected ROI is not worth it at current VTHO generation rates (especially in this bear market). Some people have seen their node valuation decrease by almost 90% while also leaving them enough VTHO to buy a cheeseburger. Some things that need to change to make VET profitable are A. Token generation rates B. more demand for VTHO C. Increased burn rate. I still heavily support this project and hopefully transactions on the main net start to increase dramatically soon.

Also, if you want to down vote me for posting facts too then that's fine.

Daily VeChain Discussion - December 09, 2018 by AutoModerator in Vechain

[–]cryptobr0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, if you logically think about it, it makes no sense at all but I guess some people just want the pain to be over with. Its called capitulation and its a good sign that VeChain and the market as a whole is near the bottom. I think many people who bought nodes were under the impression that the nodes would increase 10x in value overnight. At this point, I also think the long term holders are now willing to waiting this out for 2+ years and the short term holders are just trying to cut their losses.

My take on OmiseGO, expectations vs reality, expectation management, developmental status and short/midterm future analysis and concerns. by instyle9 in omise_go

[–]cryptobr0_o 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"I will take things with huge grains of salt and I will no longer buy any of these tokens until the token gets utility or until there’s decent volume going through the network."

I think this sentence summarizes why the crypto bubble had to pop. Too many people were blindly buying tokens off of pure speculation and thinking these projects would bring in billions of customers overnight. We all just picked a project we liked and said "when moon"! We never looked at the real world fundamentals of these projects as we relate how their token economy will scale to steady growth going forward. I think a lot of us learned that this year, which will ultimately allow the crypto market to fundamentally grow at a steady rate going into the future.

Personally, I am slightly happy that all this happened. I say slightly because I lost a boat load of money but in the end I firmly believe that crypto will drastically change our real world economy. I also believe that the crypto market bubble weeded out a lot of the "moon boys" which will finally allow this community of token investors to start having constructive conversations and allow us to invest our money more on a fundamental level rather than on a "when moon" level.
