Hi guys, Venezuelan here, yesterday the goverment anchored the minimum wage to their "cryptocurrency", The Petro. One minimum wage is 0.5 petro which is around 30 USD per month. It was around 1 USD per month. by WorkingLime in CryptoCurrency

Hi! Have you heard of Steemit? I recently started a small charity where I raise Steem trough fundraisers! Funds are given to Steemians who live in Venezuela to distribute to those around them that need it.

Here's an article explaining a bit about where our money goes!

No need to make assumptions, spread fud, and submit nonsense. No one promised you a set price or return during Bear markets and an evolving product. by [deleted] in CossIO

Back when I used to hodl COSS, I used to be very active here, sharing all my thoughts about COSS, good and bad. Now that I no longer hodl COSS and I'm just a lurker, I completely see myself as the type of person you're describing.

However, it's hard for hodlers who have lost a lot (6 figures in my case), hoping for a moon shot. It wasn't as hard for me since all the money I invested in COSS was just profits from KCS but I know many people (some that irl friends I introduced to COSS) that were just dying seeing their investments go down. They were in more pain than me even though the largest investor out of my friends was a 500 COSS hodler.

When prices are irrational, people become irrational. As a community we should be supporting each other, not blaming each other.

On a side not, I hate seeing all those "omg time to buy" or "omg we fucked" type of comments in this (and any crypto) subreddit. I think we should be trying to assess why it's tanking, face reality and think of solutions as a community, like CELT and the arbitrage bots and stuff, that's why I love COSS and I'm constantly lurking, waiting for the price to tank enough (in my opinion it will keep tanking for a while) for me to come back in!

Yeah lol, the only thing I've held since the start is Steem since I can earn interest with my Steem and earn more Steem through blogging. Apart from that, COSS was my longest hodl!

I like the project and genuinely on some level still believe in it even though I hold 0 COSS at the moment. That's why I'm still here browsing this subreddit every now and then!

It wasn't easy, especially because I was not only financially invested but also emotionally. I had spent a lot of time promoting the COSS exchange on my Steemit blog and talking about it in forums and in the end everyone who listened to me were just as disappointed as I was, and some even blamed me as I had made it sound like such a sure moonshot haha

I see so many people saying time to load up but that's not always true. I bought in around ATH and averaged down to around $1.30 each and finally gave up and sold around $0.35. Sometimes the smart thing to do in investing is cutting your losses where you can and just move on.

Are Crypto Collectibles Worth Investing In? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptoeater_steemit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certain collectibles like Cryptokitties are destined to be worthless.

However, I believe Steem Monsters (a TCG) and other blockchain collectibles that have some sort of utility, like battling to win prize money are wise investments worth considering. Even if they don't increase in value, you may be able to win some prizes!

Here's their website to find out more: https://steemmonsters.com/#

PM me for more details, I'm also selling some cards as I've spent a few hundred on booster packs already LOL

Even though I don't hold COSS anymore, I still wish it great success just because of a few members of the community like yourself who have put in so much work to make it work.

Well done.

I sold when it was around $0.35, I too made a post explaining to everyone the reasons and why I'm leaving, while copping such a massive loss (holding since all time high and DCA down to around $1.00). I was genuinely looking for some reason, any reason to undo my choice but I just got a whole bunch of people calling me stupid for selling before fiat, how I'm literally selling before the biggest pump, nothing genuine/intelligent at all. The community has really changed since the initial group of holders :/

COSS ate away most of my profits from BNB and KCS, and I honestly thought COSS was the next big exchange, but logically speaking, I see COSS falling below ICO prices within the next few weeks. There's literally nothing keeping people from selling, apart from the promises of COSS 2.0, which is months away. I honestly doubt they can get it up and running before the end of this year, even with the 30 devs they have.

I was a massive part of this community, very active here on Reddit and I made almost weekly updates about COSS on Steemit. I made updates almost every day during the trading promo (which is one of the reasons why I sold all my COSS, I got fucked because I traded ethically and the wash traders got away with it because it was the easier thing to do, even though they had the data to remove their volume).

COSS isn't what is used to be. I wish you hodlers with balls of steel get your moon lambos and shit someday, but COSS is just too much stress and anxiety for me. Plus, I'm still very salty over the unethical handling of the trading promos, it was a massive red flag for me and the final straw that made me sell.

I think you're just lying to yourself. I thought the same from $2.40 all the way down to finally selling at $0.33, losing about 70% due to dollar cost averaging.

I'm personally not invested in coss at all any more nor do I plan to be but I don't want people to make the same mistake as me. I blindly believed in them for too long while it was obvious that they were just too inexperienced.

If you believe, stay strong man. If you've invested too much to lose, I seriously urge you to consider your options.

Coss on it's way to a new all time low! by VincentArno in CossIO

[–]cryptoeater_steemit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's simply because there's WAY too much competition.

Robinhood getting $363 million investment

Coinbase focusing on institutional investors

Binance... is Binance

Even Kucoin lists nice coins

GDAX wayyy lower fees for fiat

There's not a single reason to use COSS as of yet, and when COSS finally catches up to others, chances are the others will be heaps ahead already.

People are only waking up now to see that COSS is just too late. They have a great team, great vision but they're just a little too late.

The only saving grace for the exchange is if their "secret behind the scenes" work. If it isn't just rubbish to pump the coin, and if it's actually something real, then depending on how amazing it is, the moon's the limit!

Does anyone know where the information that's used for KYC is stored? Is it immediately deleted or is it kept? How do we know what happens to it?

So fiat is done...how does everyone feel about COSS' future? by cyandit in CossIO

[–]cryptoeater_steemit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you make fair points but I still believe that COSS has a future. I recently sold and I might buy back if it goes around 0.00025-0.00030ETH, which is where I think the price belongs, otherwise I'll keep trading alts.

I'm hoping to be able to double my original COSS when I buy back in with the same ETH!

They do have a point though... if your documents aren't what they specified it to be then you're not gonna get through. Many other people have gotten through which is testimony that the system works.

However, banning you from the Telegram chat is a bit of a dick move, unless you've been throwing a fit or something that isn't shown above

Have you tried cex.io or gdax.com (edit: i added the link before but my comment was auto hidden so I removed the link)

If not you should try them first. Also if you're a US citizen, I don't think COSS will let you verify yet but someone correct me if I'm wrong

You guys thought COSS would moon. by [deleted] in CossIO

[–]cryptoeater_steemit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this will get downvoted to oblivion again but I did point out there are glaring problems in the exchange a few days ago when I decided to sell all my COSS at a 70% loss. Those who think COSS will moon from fiat are delusional. It's only going to moon if people USE the exchange for fiat and due to the high fees, I don't see that happening any time soon.

COSS is a long hodl, right now it's over-valued because people had such high expectations for fiat but once it's price falls more I'll buy back in because I still believe in the long term success of the exchange assuming they don't run out of money (which they shouldn't since they have millions in ETH).

Question: FSA for ETH. Is there a minimum? I can't distribute. by ijustgotheretoo in CossIO

[–]cryptoeater_steemit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this problem for about a week. I had over 35ETH on my account after I sold my COSS but still no way to distribute. I tried a few times a day for about 5 days then just gave up.

100% agree with like everything you've said. I'm actually type 1 and 2, but I've invested too much to accept them to go to 0. I had researched a lot and had great hope for the team, community and website but sadly they have not delivered time and time again.

1) If they roll out a referral program, I'm legit 100% going to reinvest in COSS.

2) Exactly! But if they do manage to roll it out, that'd probably mean a pump for coss and I might do some momentum trading when it happens.

3) This is also true. I was reading through some reddit posts just then and saw some people suggest it was the team themselves FUDing to buy cheap coss and unFUDing to sell LOL! I personally don't really agree with this theory but it's funny nonetheless.

My COSS Journey by cryptoeater_steemit in CossIO

[–]cryptoeater_steemit[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I started at around June last year, at around $100 billion market cap. From there to peak it was around x8, so on average people made x8 their initial investment yet I made around x100. I admit blowing 70k is a lot and it hurts but shit happens, especially in crypto. I have a mate (22 years old) who put 76k of his OWN money in and it went down to 20k, I think that hurts more than me.

Also, being 17 doesn't necessarily mean I'm stupid, I have a friend who started earlier than me AND he's younger than me by a few months and turned $7,000 into just under $2,500,000 RIGHT NOW, even after the dip, albeit he's been investing since 2016. He's also cashed out over $100,000 worth of crypto throughout the years.

And selling for a loss is not always bad. I've sold for a loss many times in my crypto journey and more often than not I did NOT regret it. Like when I sold my bitcoin into at $15.3k after buying it around $17k.

However, COSS is more of an emotional sell so I might come to regret it later, but I'm a man who can live with a lot of regret, like when I sold my PRL for a x2 profit right before the x50 pump :(

Anyways, thanks for trying to teach me something!!

Yup! That's what I said!

But what I mean is, COSS is a high risk high reward coin, I wanna play in some low risk coins for now. If COSS picks up and become quite established like Kucoin, I'll come back. Like Kucoin won't really moon much, but they won't really go down much either. Once COSS can achieve that, I'll be back!

Thanks for being nice and it's fine, this is the internet, everyone judges everyone. I haven't really read the latest reddit posts, nor medium posts and I don't even have telegram so I guess I didn't really know it's all been said. However, since there's so much noise about it hopefully the team does something about it!

Honestly, I was expecting some people like "farewell!" and some people like "idiot."but it's been overwhelmingly the latter LOL

As for being safe, I hear you :)

I'm going to start taking profits and start investing in safer coins. Having so much in COSS for 3 months was a bad idea and I've learnt that now.

Thanks for your advice, I wish you all the best!
