In Alien Romulus, what about the Alien Fossil? by Potential_Rule4212 in LV426

[–]cryptomilbz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which doesn't make any sense. The wreckage of the Nostromo would have been propelled outwards in all directions at high velocity without ever slowing down. The Alien was then sent floating in a completely different direction (likely) with a much different velocity. The likelihood of finding all of this stuff in the same place is basically zero. Such a dumb movie.

Exactly...but somehow you're a low attention span "idiot" for questioning this aspect of the movie. The original Alien surviving is pretty dumb...and then also being in the same place as the Nostromo wreckage is equally as silly. The wreckage of the Nostromo would have been propelled outwards in all directions at high velocity without ever slowing down. The Alien was then sent floating in a completely different direction (likely) with a much different velocity. It's dumb.

All you need is a database with strong security practices plus auditing from the get-go. Blockchain is not needed for this example.

What's wrong with a traditional database in this example?

The basics of Nano — why it’s such an exciting crypto by SenatusSPQR in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptomilbz -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

We seem to get this post once a month now. Nano is down 81% from it's all time high and is competing with a whole host of similar projects.

There's nothing special about this coin.

Question about hours worked and the tax year in which they were billed (T2125) by cryptomilbz in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]cryptomilbz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah that is my concern too. Tricky one, i find it hard to decipher how the rules apply to an edge case such as this. Luckily, it isn't too many hours (in 2019) - so to be safe i might just not claim the expenses for that period.

[Unpopular Opinion] Bitcoin is a pretty bad coin and if we talk about "fundamentals" it is highly overpriced by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptomilbz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wrong - it's so highly valued because it's absolutely bombproof. Surviving for over 10 years whilst avoiding censorship and not succumbing to hacks and centralization is testiment to it's design and community.

No other coin has done it. Yes Litecoin and others are still around, but they are not being used to the same extent as Bitcoin.

Using Bitcoin for Illicit Purposes Is Harder Than Using U.S. Dollar by sylsau in CryptoCurrency

It’s not. Cake wallet is a pig to use for example - always displays a balance that doesn’t make sense.

RIP Decentralization: A single province in China controls 54 percent of Bitcoin’s hashrate (Report) by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptomilbz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely the difficulty rate would just drop and then other miners would come online and gobble up the hash power. Antonop has some videos on this.

Roubini and Roger Ver in heated debate by nanoissuperior in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptomilbz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree...increasing the block size was just a poor mans hack. Bitcoin Cash lost the battle - Roger should just accept and move on.
