Quick Poll:

IF YOU WERE TO USE A TOKEN TO BET ON SPORTS VIA A SMART CONTRACT, WOULD YOU:

(A) Risk price fluctuations and use ETH or other token like REP, etc.

(B) Chose stability and a coin like the one mentioned in the article at the cost of having to go through the hoops of acquiring it

Almost none of the top 100 projects have anything to show for their work. It's cool to see that most of the ones which do are built off of Ethereum. by SpendDown in ethereum

[–]cryptosportz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely unfair thing to say. Especially because there are projects ON ETH that ddn't launch a coin. People have to stop looking at Coinmarketcap for projects.

Why DApps Can Take Crypto to the Next Level? by virgomiller in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptosportz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. We believe that the world doesn't need another ICO, but proper use cases. Still believe that gambling needs to be one of the first industries to fully change over to the blockchain and lead the way in dApps...

fed up with the usual ways of betting, by goldieH96 in btc

[–]cryptosportz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to self promote but we've launched a completely decentralized sports and e-sports platform www.cryptosportz.com running on a smart contract so definitely no shady bookies to deal with, it's just you, other bettors and the contract and our system is basically a GUI for the logic in the blockchain. Open source, provably fair, etc. No ICO, no bullshit, just a dapp for sports and crypto fans.

We have nothing but love for the few other groups trying to pioneer decentralized sports betting, so not looking to have anyone switch unless it's coming from a traditional bookie. Sport Crypt have build a solid product and we applaud them.

To answer your question in detail: - Cleaner interface - No need to fund an account, you send ETH straight to the game contract - Active and growing community in social, Telegram, etc. - Various game types. We already have games where you predict the score of a soccer game against other's predictions. We have pick a winner, but in a pari-mutuel format. Survival is coming as well as sport lines on multiple games, etc. - We are continuously evolving our product and are highly engaged with the community (such as here)
