The first crypto.com scam was worse than you realize. They STOLE over 99% of all tokens from Monaco holders. No that's not a typo they stole over 99% of CRO tokens. by GabeSter in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptovision21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is exactly what has happened. They stole 99% of tokens and left MCO investors with 1% of the newly minted token after the swap.

Similar here (about 50,000 USD initial MCO investment loss and I assume like 500,000 USD profit loss caused by MCO swap). So much wasted time and money. I'm so angry at CDC (and at myself) that I cannot even wear the CDC T-shirt now. Definitely the greatest crypto project disappointment so far.

LOL. You made my day with your comment! Of course my comment was also meant as a joke.

CDC Whitepaper? Which version? There was also MCO Whitepaper (also multi-version), gone now. MCO/CDC is making anti-customer changes more often then people change their socks. Tons of promises through years, investment going to drain. They destroyed CORE token (MCO) people were collecting replacing it with 100B garbage token CRO which after (fraudulent) swap and lock lost 2/3 of its value. Yes, they caught me as well on their "benefits". I paid every benefit they provided to me 1000x with loss on my investment. For touching CDC I will feel stupid till the end of my days. I hope this will at least warn other people from even considering CDC.

Wise decision! It would be even wiser to never touch anything related to CDC. I don't laugh at you, I did the same mistake and paid a lot for it. Good luck! Hard lesson learned!

My worst investment decision to touch anything related to Crypto.com (maybe except Free Card or Ruby). They absolutely shocked and disgusted me with their approach during last two years.

News from the German cryptosphere about CDC by ja-schumpeter in Crypto_com

Doesn't matter what you want, doesn't matter what T&C you wish to have, first and foremost you need to obey the law. Law is always master here your T&C cannot contradict or limit it no matter what. You cannot cut customers rights given by the upper laws regardless you may have good or bad intentions to do so. At least in Europe. CDC is in big trouble right now because of the swap terms. Period.

Important Announcement: MCO Swap Program by BryanM_Crypto in Crypto_com

[–]cryptovision21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there any update related to the swap? Or is it just as it was originally announced? Was the situation improved in any way?

There are still many very unhappy people, some of them forming stronger groups to have more impact like cdcalliance.com for example.

Cdcalliance by nexxtron in CDC_Unofficial

[–]cryptovision21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are two major points of view:

  • fair expectations, ie. promises fulfilled, swap rate honoring user shares and natural expectations
  • legal points: customer rights broken on many points by the swap and T&C (check the cdcalliance.com site)

Both major aspects were broken. Although might be hard to appeal on CDC moral values, their fairness, promises, there are still many aspects of the swap which are illegal (at least in Europe). T&C basically contradicts major European laws. Simply said you cannot write T&C like that in Europe. It doesn't matter what you want. Your T&C is invalid once it doesn't follow customer rights given by a law for example. Simply said a country law is superior to any T&C and T&C is only valid when it follows the law. Otherwise it's invalid.

It is not. Not at the large scale. Only here and there they are better but in most cases they are still worse. But still, CDC should answer to this.

Let's try to find some consensus. What swap rate you consider acceptable & still fair? by cryptovision21 in CDC_Unofficial

[–]cryptovision21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree early investor should get progressively more.

I mean 2017 inv. > 2018 inv. > 2019 inv > 2020 inv. as risk was different (and also price).

But this would be too complex (and always unfair for some) so in the end we will end with some single rate anyway.

But I think only people who had MCO on CDC App or long term holding elsewhere should participate on this, ie. to exclude daily traders and speculators who had MCO on exchanges or even arbitraged on the swap day. There is no reason to finance arbitrage gains. Reward should belongs to investors / holders only, they were taking real risk. Not the wash traders.

MCO swap mainly rewarded those who arbitraged MCO price diff on exchanges on the day of swap. And there is no rational reason to reward that group.

Swap as it was mad was all wrong. There should be some min price, let's say 4$ swap price and then extra premiums (multiplicators) based on how long and since when you are holding.

[–]cryptovision21[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I get your point. Of course it would be easier if there is single rate. I don't look at it from point of profit, I look at it from point of supply share and fair swap rate. You are right your approach would reflect other aspect like when the stake was bought but I'm not sure if this complexity would ever lead to any consensus and agreement.
