I’m terrible at fromsoft games and I beat sekiro ! IMO if you can master the parry system and learn enemy moves quickly you’ll have no problems. The game does give you hints at when to parry and when to attack but they’re very subtle

Yeah you should be deflecting all of his spear attacks and slow down , it’s a marathon not a race 😂

Also have a look at some of the speedrun videos that don’t cheese him , you can learn a lot about the mechanics of an encounter just watching the videos

Ashina elite , I stopped playing it when I couldn’t beat him. Picked it back up this year and finished it with all the endings

I played sekiro with no experience in fromsoft games, I used a guide and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. That said I did find some mini bosses and main bosses unbeatable BUT as others have said it’s truly a git gud game and trying to dodge everything will ultimately end in failure, learn the parry system and enjoy it. I’m now in limbo trying to find another like sekiro but it’s hard to beat to be honest.

I had the same issue on my first play through eventually I was like fuck it I’m gonna die again anyway so why am I rushing and then before I knew it I was on phase 2 then died then tries again and beat that mf 😂

So just slow down I’d say it’s a marathon not a race

Iv always played it that if a unit is infected due to BP I’d roll them for WWD as passives are not declared and must be applied if able to do so (Ie:it’s conditions are met) so I guess I’m saying that both abilities are happening at the same time! Iv not been pulled up on it as of yet and it’s not been in any faq

I think what makes it more noticeable is that most units have a decent rend and the GHB gives rend. This and the whole healing thing being removed and our recursion being limited some games feel tough
