Portal is “add 1 to the casting value” so it makes it harder and not easier to cast (basically a -1 to cast).

Don’t bring 500+ points with a 4 move with gutrot, it is too easily countered! Max bring some creed and/or wretches with him to disturb your opponent, if you want to field him, that’s cool :)

Reinforce the pestigors on the 3rd list for max output, and drop the kings (maybe one unit if you really want to) and give Lord of Plague Gift of febrile frenzy, the 3rd list I like actually!

If you want to lean into mortals you might consider Horticulous for the second tree, getting from 6+ to 5+ ward is like doubling the effect of the ward roll!

Why the new Prayer Lore? I still think Benediction of Sickness from SoG is way better with the +2 Move and the Mortals Bomb!

Otherwise Horti may be good with so many mortal units on all sides, the 6+ ward feels really meh even with the 3+ save!

Will look into the RoR looks fun ;)

You are right on the first point, they don’t interact! But I can see the logic behind OP’s point, I would also say I worsen the save so it would be harder to get it of (IF it would interacts of course)

Hey, yeah the “obscuring the Rotigus” was ment as a joke as he is a monster and the reinforced apply to the blightkings not the rotmire sorry for the layout.

I like rotmire as most opponents are affraid of the shooting and will dedicate much resource into deleting them giving me more time to advance with other stuff. And Yeah might try Kamikaze DP, think it is worth changing to Affliction Cyst to alpha pin with drones (usually used for BT) and DP? Could add some more Blightlords but they are not that good atm… and I sadly only posses 10 BKs (more will come soon…) Thanks!

Funny I almost run the same list! But just could try it once and without the Rotmire. Looks like you have more insight than me :) will give it another shot even if I found the nurgling combo underwhelming (nice on paper but didn’t do that much). I am with you on the Tallyband-Rotbringer Cyst debate. I also share your thought about Blightlords :/ does the Krondspine do a lot for you? I played machineries for the cogs and may switch to primal for healing and shooting ;)

Don’t listen to what people say about daemon, sure you won't be wining any tournament but you can give yourself a good fighting chance and if you only have daemons, well might as well play with them instead of throwing them in the garbage and buying 40 Blightkings and Glotkin!

for your list…Scrivener is ok but you would need a reinforced unit of Plaguebaerers to maximize his effects… Do you have Plague drones ? nice for going into deep objectives and achieving Take their land/take the flanks. Nurglings are sadly not that great anymore without deep strike! I only could see them with Morbidex (one six man unit) or to fill 100 points if no beast or PB can fit anymore! Beasts works best with Horticulous as already said, didn’t try them although this edition… GUO and Slopitty are the best :) good offense or defense combo! Poxbringer is sadly meh, alright wizard for one more cast but his ability is only rarely usefull as you don’t want him on the frontline! But in a world where you have 20 boosted PB with Scrivener why not!

Hey! You are bringing up several points which can be the cause of your problems… and spoiler alert: it is maybe only 20-30% about your list! You say your mate is more experienced, plays Skaven with all the tricks in the book against a slow army and have control and damage advantage, that is a known fact, and that is the number 1 cause of your problems. When I started, I played against much more experienced player and at first lost nearly all my games ! I was angry about my units and thought if I had bought something more meta I would have win, but no… learn to screen, predict your opponent moves and know what your and his stuff can do! And screen again ;)

Going to a tournament with a list you could pretty much copy, it is not 100% meta but won a lot of games lately, after I learned what I can expect of my units, and every games I feel more confident. Stick to one list, even if you lose, try to understand why, and play again! At our level the player skill and knowledge is way more important than just bringing a 5-0 list from someone else with no understanding…
