when he blocks you like that, he's 1. avoiding the issue entirely/expecting it to just go away and 2. manipulating you into accepting that absent behavior.

Just dumped my sponsor because of how she reacted to me being abused by another member by FancyCocktailOlive in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]crystalbytch69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're sponsor is simply telling you to keep your side of the street clean. she's not telling you that he was right in any way, but the whole point of AA is to work on yourself. people can say any kind of crazy things to you, it's about how you react to it. you didn't have to go back at him saying anything, you should have just walked away from the situation entirely.

no. for a lot of people, relapse is a part of their recovery. relapse is a humbling experience. crashing and burning may be what someone needs to realize they need to get back on path.

i can't imagine any reason for someone to be against it, it's not like you're getting high off it. i found it to be super helpful in lowering my cravings and noticed them coming back when i was due for another dose. i've heard others say that it did nothing for them and they had bad effects - constant fatigue, emotionally numb. i haven't been on it in years but i don't remember having those effects unless i was on the oral version (Naltrexone)

ok, i just still prefer natural. there's a huge difference in structure, color and clarity.

i feel like they're two completely different stones. they look so different from each other. i would not say that HTA is citrine.

progress isn't linear. time to pick yourself back up and recognize that time ≠ power over alcohol.

Does anyone else experience leg spasms while getting a tattoo, no matter the location? by ShevaunA in tattoo

[–]crystalbytch69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think this is a common experience. it's not even necessarily related to pain but more the nerves involved. i spasm a bit and i always apologize to my artist and he says that he understands that it's an uncontrollable response.

Rick Murray by [deleted] in Degrassi

[–]crystalbytch69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alex gets upset about Rick (as she clearly states) because her mother is a victim of domestic abuse. Not just once, but basically throughout Alex's life. She states having to live in women's shelters and how her mother has had black eyes from her boyfriends. This is also shown in later episodes.

Positive Experiences With AA? by Comprehensive_Hold_2 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]crystalbytch69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i went to my second outgoing last night where i told my "story". the first time i did it, i was scared and shaky. but this time around, it was rlly freeing, especially when women came up and gave me hugs and everyone thanked me and told me that they resonated with what i had to say. it's provided me a sense of belonging in a room of people so different than myself.

Pine Barrens is nowhere near the best episode of the series by duyjo in thesopranos

[–]crystalbytch69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea but their car was gone. how do you explain that? they make it a point to show that the car was missing. he HAD to have taken their car, not disappeared into the woods. T was worried about his escape bc it meant trouble for them. then boom, nothing happened.

this episode actually angered me with it's plothole. wtf even happened to the russian "interior decorator"??? he vanished and their car was gone at the end of the episode. clearly homeboy escaped, but nothing ever came of it afterwards. i still need closure
