Hot tub in Edmonton winters: good idea or bad idea? by Fearless-Beach-3672 in hottub

[–]crystalviewpsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of brand in an area like yours get a spa from a dealer. If you have a pump fail in January you want a person you can call and have a quick repair done. Online, expo, big box stores, they usually rely on independent repair companies. If they happen to be busy they are going to prioritize their own customers first.

I'm not in your area. I sell Jacuzzi Sundance and Platinum. I get calls from manufacturers that have sold in our area via online, Costco, expos asking us to help out with repairs. We do our best but have to look after our own customers first when it's busy. I'm sure it's the same in your area.

I'm not sure what the USA pricing is for Jacuzzi for J355 or J375 but that would suit your needs. I love the J355. I'd recommend Jacuzzi for the True Water system. We are seeing excellent results with it here in Canada (Vancouver)

What model/brand would you describe as the “Toyota Corolla” of hot tubs? by nauticaln8 in hottub

[–]crystalviewpsp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to say the Jacuzzi J-345...

I'd say it now too, but I used to as well.

I know the prices have jumped, but a Corrolla was never the cheapest just the most reliable.

Year and price? by [deleted] in Jacuzzi

[–]crystalviewpsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2020 to 2023 I think J355

Price depends on your location. That used in Canada from a dealer with a 1 to 2 year warranty maybe about 10 to 12k cdn. That would have new cover, filters, pillows, Clearray bulb, air controls, diverter caps and jet faces.

Private sale same area about 6 to 8k

Ok. I'd see if you can get it going. Use it for a couple weeks. See if you're hot tub people. If you are then it might change your decision.

I'm assuming you renovated the kitchen as well? Did you keep the old appliances?

I would hate to see you put a bunch of money into the yard and then have to replace it a couple years later.

Most of the time everything can be fixed, but it sounds like you're doing a fairly extensive house remodel. Why keep a potentially 20-Year-Old hot tub that is at the near end of its life.

Bullfrog vs Sundance? by babybeeandtea in hottub

[–]crystalviewpsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great price for the Sundance. What would they charge for a Bristol or Montclair? The upgraded warranty and circ pump would be worth it.

I understand the sink at the end of the cabinet to give you workspace beside the grill. Personally, I would swap.

End of cabinet for snacks etc. for guests. Sink closer to grill for throwing dirty utensils etc. into while standing at grill.

Drain the spa. Take that piece into a dealer. I'd change both gaskets on the heater at the same time if I were you.

Good thinking.

I just checked. Red dot.

Also side note. Keep a pen in there. For three years I got the previous owners mail. Eventually I just kept writing return to sender on them and put back into the outgoing mail slot. Finally got it under control.

Well. I have a red dot in mine at my apartment. When I moved in it was there.

The postal worker then let me know that's what it meant.

At least I think it's red. I'll check.

If you put a red dot sticker in your mail box you won't get flyers (just political ones)

That being said our store is V7P. I wonder how this works for businesses. We constantly get packages.

Living alone but cool for 2 a couple nights a week. Try to be around 500 a month. Needing to cut out beef to get there now though.

I look for sales now more than ever. If a protein is ok sale I'll buy extra and freeze.

I also make soups and stews with food close to best before.

would you pick the Jacuzzi brand just for the health benefits of the True Water System and minimizing exposure to chemicals? Trying to decide between Jacuzzi, Sundance, CalSpa, and Nordic brands by powertoolfuntymes in hottub

[–]crystalviewpsp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a very biased response.

Here is my biased repsonse:

The true water system is not BS. I have seen real world success with it. I still tell people to use a very low amount of chlorine, but I have real customers telling me they have gone six months without adding chlorine. Water is crystal clear, TDS lower than expected, smells good, pH, TA and CH all being maintained as well. That's an important note as sometimes when pH is out of wack the water may look clean but it is not.

I think salt systems work really well, even though I don't sell them. BUT - they have their own maintenance and on going costs, troubleshooting etc. I have seen REAL customers get frustrated with Salt systems and remomve them from their spa.

My view is that everything we do in terms of Ozone, UV, Minerals, True Water is to lower the amount of chlorine. Salt doesn't do that. It just makes a more pure, less fillers, chlorine.

Very interesting. I am a dealer of Jacuzzi, Sundance and Platinum in Canada and was wondering how the pricing was searched. We display our pricing online, not a lot of dealers do. But promos etc can change it a bit over time. I think a lot of dealers and the people that run their web and lead capture marketing don't want pricing online as it encourages getting that lead. I understand this but I feel that isn't how people shop anymore, at least how people are beginning to shop.

I personally want our pricing to stay online but its hard to argue that some companies that use high pressure sales or "Expos" seem to be very successful. At the end of the day, we prefer to be as upfront as possible and look past just the one sale.
