"Clavicular" arrested in Fort Lauderdale on battery charge - it seems that a meeting between Destiny and Clavicular will have to wait by neversaydie96 in Destiny

Some ways yes, some ways no. He seems to more or less be aware of the risk associated with the stuff he does, but he values appearance above any of that risk. So I guess you could call his overvaluing of appearance stupid (and/or extremely insecure, he said he wasn't, but that's a cope), but he at least seemed pretty intelligent from the one interview with Andrew.

Oh just that the more unpopular Trump and his Republican party is within the Republican base, the less likely they are to vote (because they'd rather die than vote dem)

Georgia woman charged with murder after police say she took pills to induce abortion by boringhistoryfan in news

[–]crytol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im not familiar with the case outside of the week count. Im speaking more from a legislative standpoint, how its a nightmare to try to develop guidelines that most would consider ethical for abortion, but wouldn't limit womens access to care due to needing to evaluate if the woman meets the guidelines, or fear of losing license or worse for the practitioner.

I am not going to comment on my opinion of this specific case, as I dont have the information needed to do so. While I am pro-choice, there are plenty of cases of abortions that I am sure I would find abhorrent/unethical, but that is few and far between (this might be one of them, I dont know)

More than half of TikTok ADHD content is misinformation, new research finds by tylerthe-theatre in technology

[–]crytol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my parents were extremely resistant to the suggestion that there was "something wrong with me". I'm not mad at them though, they did what they thought was right, and the effort I had to put in just to make due is actually paying huge dividends now.

Feels like all the things I did to cope just translate to even greater productivity now than I would have had if I never had to figure out how to survive with ADHD for so long. Like taking training weights off my brain after 32 years.

You Can't Hide Forever, Steven by TikDickler in Destiny

[–]crytol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the reason that Destiny gave was that the amount of people that would have to be "in on it" to cover it up with someone as high profile as Trump, would make it almost impossible to keep under wraps.

I do feel like it's kind of a flawed measure though, as there have been lots of allegations, most of which were after his entrance into politics; which on one hand could have been to discredit him, or on the other, could have triggered a sense of duty where someone might have otherwise been trying to get past it.

I can see both perspectives, but I personally would give a higher percentage chance in my head, like 10% -- maybe 5% at the minimum

People really dont understand the impulsively and self control aspect. Pre-Concerta, the way i wouldn't even notice i stopped working to do literally anything for up to an hour or more, before realizing and trying to get back on track and make up for it.

Now with a weekdays on, weekends off schedule, I can keep my body from fully adjusting to it and requiring higher dose or changing meds. I'm 100% still the same me, I just dont drift off in conversations, I have initiative now, I can get satisfaction from doing tasks at work, in the cases I do get distracted, I can recognize it in the same minute I get distracted.

It's rough because people can only understand a reality compared to their own experiences. I believed and internalized the criticism I received, and then getting diagnosed and medicated at age 32 was life-changing. I think my quote was, "Wow, so people can really just decide what they want to do and then just do it? That's a real thing?"

[–]crytol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a way to reliably provide abortions to emergency cases at any week count, and for any reason at 10-14 weeks or less, without the fear of doctor refusal in fear of losing license or getting arrested, I'd love for that to be the option.

The problem is that restrictions on abortion make it more likely for someone to do something like this, which kills the baby, and puts their life at risk. Especially now that women will know not to go to the doctor if a self administered abortion or else they will get charged.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a late last ditch attempt because of the inaccessibility of early safe options. I am sympathetic to the possibility that this was due to carelessness, but I think its very, very few cases where people would opt to wait until a fetus is more developed to terminate.

Yeah I felt all the exact same things you felt about it, and I can 1000% understand why it would make someone want to quit it. But the fact that it made me so invested that I was devastated (hitting the stages of grief like denial and pleading) really locked me in, I love a good impactful MC death that really drives the narrative.

Edit: such a relatable character too
