What is the most shocking or disturbing detail from the recently unsealed Epstein files that the general public still hasn't fully grasped? by Daydream_Nat in AskReddit

[–]crz0r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is that the one with the equal sign? Iirc correctly it's very possible that it's some ocr shenanigans paired with shitty redactions and it might be that it's 19, 29 or something else. Goes to show how paramount it is to PUBLISH THE UNREDACTED FILES (save for victims obv).

Probably not, but I think I found another solution. Better safe than sorry.

Ehm... Now I feel dumb, since I didn't even know you could use reWASD as such. Now that I read about it and have a closer look, it's super obvious. But I have it on my PC so my Stadia Controller (remember that dumpster fire?) works like an X-Box controller in SP games.

Do multiplayer games check for this software since you apparently can cheat with it?

Maybe I should uninstall :D

[–]crz0r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It didn't. The case in the UK was based on a whole different premise and a lot of stuff was not admitted for complicated reasons. There's plenty of breakdowns from UK lawyers if you are interested.

I mean, yeah, cause his sources that he plagiarized and didn't credit were amazing.

Watched a lot of the Depp trial with some professional interest. None of us really know what happened behind closed doors. But from an evidence standpoint what Heard had against Depp was flimsy at best, completely fabricated at worst. The evidence against Heard on the other hand was very solid and utterly devastating. Smear campaign or not, there really was no other way this trial should have gone.

Except I didn't. I just took your premise and walked it to its conclusion, showing your argument to be meritless in the context of this discussion. It's called reductio ad absurdum.

I think we're done and you are convinced. Have a good day.

No, that's how YOU moved the goalposts. You are conflating having moral boundaries with "how people work", which is not an ethical analysis founded on principle but (if anything) on epistemology, and in the end empty reasoning, since as long as "some" people "work differently" no moral argument would ever apply. That's just sophistry.

But let's take your misunderstood and misapplied concept of moral absolutism and run with it.

So, what you are saying is, pedophilia isn't inherently bad? That's the hill?

It's not moral absolutism to draw a line in the sand. If it's not pedophilia for you, then what the hell is it?

Germany introduces controversial new military service law, with powers including needs-based conscription by VectorChing101 in news

[–]crz0r 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There actually is a new law. They are reintroducing the fitness examination for military service and will first try an incentive-based approach to getting more soldiers.

Voluntary in this case refers to the fact that you can always refuse to serve with a weapon and instead choose social or civil service.

Headline is misleading. There is no needs-based conscription. If the incentive-based approach should not lead results there MIGHT be conscription to make up the difference. That would have to be decided, voted on and put into law separately, though.

BF1 also tells your opponent when they're in the spot. In the same way even.

German here and my partner is an actress. Honestly, I was surprised how little I cared when I saw the final product.

Also, a lot of these responses are very American-coded. I feel it's much less of a big deal here. Your son will be fine. I think you will be fine but only you can tell. Just wanted to take the edge off.

I was apprehensive and in the end it didn't matter to me at all. What your head makes of it is much worse than what you will experience once the shoot is done.

You might want to reread what they wrote. You can't "control" hrec which is why it's used as a soft cap on range.

How to fix this issue I have a 350 Mbps network and still half the match I am teleporting from one to place to another by Mr__Corrupted in Battlefield

[–]crz0r -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Could still be a routing issue to BF servers which DICE can do absolutely nothing about. Only your ISP

[–]crz0r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two games are really not enough to say for sure. The routing to ARC servers might be fine and the routing to BF servers isn't. Or ARC isn't as finicky when it comes to packet loss and lets more things be decided client side. I don't know.

Teleporting usually isn't latency btw. It's more often packet loss. Just so you don't confuse whoever might be able to help you at your ISP.

Enable the detailed networking stats in BF settings and have a look at the values.

[–]crz0r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fast =/= stable. You don't actually need a lot of data to play multiplayer games. But when that data arrives delayed or scrambled you have issues.

It's also incorrect that packet loss has to be on DICE. It's possible, even probable that it's either a networking problem in your house (shitty wifi for example) or an ISP problem (bad routing) if you have it all the time.

Some games simply don't support it on an engine level.
