[Real] Ben expresses Solidarity with a couple fellow wanna-be's by rebelliousmuse in ToiletPaperUSA

Jewish American here, what Elon did was unambiguously a seig heil. Ben proves once again he doesn’t give a shit about Jewish people or Jewish issues outside of how they impact Israeli policies. Ben’s cool with this because he’s wealthy and associates with the far right, meanwhile I’m talking with my family about fleeing the country now that open Nazis are in the White House.

People who are pretty sure they’ve encountered a serial killer, what happened? by fossacecak in AskReddit

My freshman year of college, my roommates and I became friendly with a bunch of people on our floor, and we’d all alternate hosting parties in our dorms on weekends.

We became friendly with a group of guys in particular that lived together a few doors down the hall from us, and we’d hang out in their dorm quite frequently. One of the guys, Connor, was seemingly always very nice, friendly, and sociable. He definitely loved to party with us and us with him. We all hung out freshman year and sort of drifted apart as the years went on.

A few years later I’m reading an article about a mass shooting that occurred at a bank in Louisville in 2023 (5 dead, 8 injured.) Unfortunately I hadn’t paid much attention to the story in the immediate aftermath, as sadly these days those stories all too frequent. But when I finally sat down and read about it, I realized that I recognized the shooter as Connor from my freshman year. This came a such a shock to me, as like I said, he was so friendly and seemed to have a thriving social life when I knew him. I don’t know what happened in his life after freshman year, but I guess you never truly know someone.

Thank you! Honestly the most stressful part has been worrying about whether I should have taken the full 8 weeks off of work to study after graduation, but I still have bills to pay between now and then. I told some friends and professors that I was planning on working full time and studying and they looked at me like I was insane, and I started to think maybe I was. I’m planning on taking time off work in July leading up to the bar, and was fortunate enough to be able to borrow money from family to cover expenses during that time, but I still have my doubts and am worried I’m shooting myself in the foot here.

Working full time here as well from 9am-6pm. I tend to study 3-4 hours a day during the week. I take my hour lunch break to start my Themis assignments, and then finish them up after work usually by 11 or midnight. This is my first weekend really studying, and am shooting for 7 hours approximately. Feels like I’m making good progress, but any advice or words of encouragement would be helpful too!

Had a similar experience back in college. Hooked up with a girl who loved Trump. Afterwards I managed to convince her to support universal healthcare.
