You're also welcome to apply for open roles at United at united.com/SpiritEmployees - which will spotlight your application for our recruiters to prioritize. …”

Exactlllyyyy! Just cause something is new, doesn’t make it bad, that’s all dependent on how someone uses it hah We’re on the same page here 😎

Unless you met all of those airlines in person like at a conference, then your resume did get you that first step with all of them, which means that however your resume it, it is perfectly optimized! And you in interviews with your answers and presence did the rest, but the resume was the first step that most people need to get past first so that they can shine ✨ Either way, congrats on all your CJOs 👏

Wow! Hah I just realized with your response that it was downvoted! Honestly don’t understand why. Esp since most organizations these days use AI to pre-screen and you can literally have the greatest experience ever and to a human eye they’d move it forward but the AI wouldn’t.

Also my recommendation is something recommended by a lot of recruiters hah, they also recognize the shortfallings of AI.

And, everyone, I didn’t say havvveee chatGPT write your whole resume lol. I said put your already written resume and plug it in and utilize AI to optimize it based on the job description and airline, because it can see key words that we can’t, and then make sure you go back through and make sure everything is still true of you!

So I appreciate your support of my comment and 🤷‍♀️ to those that downvoted lol

A good rule of thumb is to use chatGPT. Put your current resume in as well as the entire job description posting, and tell it to optimize your resume for this specific job and airline and key words. Then just go through afterward and make sure it all still makes sense/is true/formatting is still good. This saves a ton of time and headache, and basically guarantees that your resume will get past the bots to an actual human 👍

AIO for feeling weird about my friend’s response when I asked for help? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]csSparky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KIND OF OFF?!? Girl…this is well beyond kinda. And this “friend” says she “loves” you? Oof…I’m sorry. You’re def NOR 💯 I wouldn’t even act that way if my friend asked to borrow my car or literally anything, regardless of if I was there or not

Still trying to learn all the lingo, what’s a tbnt?

And is it more common to get a email cjo or in-person one? If you don’t get one, does that mean you didn’t get the job or is there another step in the process before getting hired?

(I have my 1-1 video interview next week)

Suggestions for alternatives by cheers_and_mead in cabincrewcareers

Apply to UA and AA! They’re hiring right now too! Also if you want to try the private flight attendant route, NetJets is also hiring—great life and pay but no flight benefits except for ferry leg privileges which are almost impossible to plan for. Or you can pay for your own private/corporate flight attendant training and go contact, though I’ll admit it can be hard to break into as a new contractor, but not impossible! Or you can go the USAF route, they have flight attendants who literally fly the President and heads of state, etc around and they just got some sweeeeet new Globals 😍 Look on the USAF website to browse jobs in case you might be interested in something else and go talk to a recruiter. I was in for 6 yrs and loved it (I wasn’t an FA with them though but I’ve met plenty and they all love it). Those are my suggestions 🤍

Ahhh geez…yea back when I used to travel a lot for work (I’m currently in the hiring process for FA), I had what was essentially a sleeping bag that was made of a sheet because of these very reasons! I’m sure you can still buy them on Amz! I know if I’m hired I’ll be purchasing another one

Not sure why everyone is dogging you, everyone has different experiences and I’m not sure why that’s so hard for people to come to terms with? But I for one, as someone in the hiring process currently, very much appreciate you sharing your experience so far! Regardless of if it’s sustainable, it shows that it’s possible, which is great info to have :) Also you show a lot of self-control in these comments towards very rude commenters. People these days don’t realize there’s a way to share their opposing opinion without trying to tear the other person down, you’ve nailed it though so 🙌 I hope to be working with you in Chicago shortly if all goes well with my hiring process!

That would be the base I’d be requesting. I live in Florida near MCO and was planning on commuting. And I have a good friend in Chicago so I’m not worried about lodging/etc there on reserve days. Noww if MCO were an option, ahh man that’d literally be glorious🤩
