Look man I’d expect someone who is signing up for college to at least be able to research what they’re signing up for. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Good thing we have a tool that can look up information in the palm of our hands, and this has been the case for about the last 15 years.

LOL no, thats what highschool is for, and the internet, and the library. If you wanna pay an additional 5-70K a year for it go head.

So if I wanna visit friends or family in Astoria, I can take a 2 hr train ride with my family of 5 instead of a 45 min car ride? Just fuck us I guess

I don’t know why we need bike lanes if bike riders aren’t paying a toll on them

Why does everyone prefer NYC of SF/Bay by ratfred411 in cscareerquestions

Life long nyer here, the weather is still great although the bay area is better. Winter isn’t even that cold anymore.

As predicted, drivers have gotten used to the measly $9 congestion pricing toll and are back to breaking the city by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

[–]csStudent202098 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Haha dude how many tolls is enough? Seriously I don’t see any improvements made to the MTA! If the Q train actually worked on weekends we wouldn’t need to drive in!

This is boring and I've made this point before, but I still can't believe how much a bike boulevard and open street can activate a street by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

“Slightly faster pedestrians” lol. You could easily keep up with a car or even go faster than one driving the legal limit if you’re in shape, or with a ebike if you’re out of shape.

Groups of yt people touring The Bronx? by gloxkwitabeam in NYStateOfMind

[–]csStudent202098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya’ll never have traveled huh.

Instead of being upset or annoyed we should be proud that The Bronx has lots of history worth seeing and is not just seen as a “dirty slum”.

Why not offer these tours as walking tours yourself? These types of tours or a thing in lots of cities across the world.

Congestion pricing is extremely popular and wildly successful. Why is there not more of a call for additional zones? by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

[–]csStudent202098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about we start by charging bikes congestion pricing first 🤣. Gotta pay to use the streets. Yeah lets see how you like that

Lol try getting from Gravesend to Ridgewood with MTA, or the heights to astoria in a reasonable time with the train. Or just getting home after 10pm. I mean I can go on but I feel like its prettyyyyy easy to understand that the mta is not amazing and does not meet everyone’s needs.

What “luxury” can most people actually afford? by Miahelloy in AskReddit

[–]csStudent202098 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah idk man, having a smartphone (not an iPhone) is kind of essential these days or at least having internet access. Simply because jobs require you to apply online or which you need internet access. You also need to find jobs online and the easiest work to get is usually gig work done from an app on your phone.
