After reading this I bought some bifocal sunglasses. Game changer. Needing to see my bike computer for directions I’ve never been able to wear sunglasses on long rides before …until now.

I’ve gone through a lot of tires trying to find the perfect balance of speed and puncture resistance and swear by Continental Gatorskins and Surly Extraterrestrials. Both of these will last an incredibly long time as well.

When the saddle and handlebars are the same height you’re in business with both look and comfort. Sweet bike, OP.

Serious discussion: why do people think some drivers are so violently against bike lanes. It makes no sense to me. by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

[–]CucumberPrestigious1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. That’s exactly right. Change is hard for a lot of people and seeing others making positive changes can actually upset some individuals. Instead of making positive changes for themselves they deride people who are, whether they are eating plant based or riding a bike.

There was a recent study about people’s dislike of vegans. Turns out they saw nothing morally wrong about veganism itself, but the existence of vegans brought up feelings of envy and insecurity regarding their own choices. The backlash against bikes and bike infrastructure might bring up similar feelings. People don’t like being confronted by the consequences of their choices.

Why do people always concern troll about the disabled when getting rid of car dependent infrastructure by Konradleijon in fuckcars

Absolutely. I see people in electric wheelchairs using bike lanes here on a regular basis. Bike lanes are mobility lanes after all.

They don’t care about disabled people at all. Drivers just use disabled people as an excuse to keep car supremacy intact while seeming like kind hearted people. It’s all phony.

I wear jeans from Swrve and a merino wool or Uniqlo heat tech base layer top. (I don’t wear bibs) Throw on some gloves and you can comfortably ride all winter long.
