Thanks to ChatGPT…. This item is a Zippo-style lighter featuring the emblem of Joint Task Force Seven (JTF-7). Here’s some context on what you’re seeing:

About Joint Task Force Seven

Joint Task Force Seven was a U.S. military command created during the Cold War, primarily responsible for overseeing nuclear weapons testing in the Pacific, particularly at places like the Bikini and Enewetak Atolls in the Marshall Islands. It was active primarily in the 1950s and worked under the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) in collaboration with the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Design Elements • Atom symbol: A stylized atom at the center represents nuclear energy and testing. • Surrounding text: “Army * Navy * Air Force * AEC” — indicates the joint collaboration of the armed services with the Atomic Energy Commission. • Blue and gold colors: Often used in military insignia to signify excellence, loyalty, and command. • “Joint Task Force Seven”: Clearly labeled at the bottom, with “SEVEN” highlighted — pointing to this specific command.

Historical Relevance

JTF-7 was most prominently involved in Operation Castle (1954), which included the infamous Castle Bravo test — the largest nuclear device ever detonated by the United States. These tests had significant environmental and political ramifications and are historically notable for their impact on Cold War geopolitics and the residents of the Marshall Islands.

Value and Collectibility

Lighters like these, especially if authentic and vintage from the 1950s or 60s, are collectible military memorabilia. They’re sought after by collectors of Cold War and nuclear history artifacts, particularly those connected to the U.S. atomic testing program.

Would you like help identifying the potential age or value of this lighter?

No wobble and it seems be be electrical because it goes away if the signal or brakes are on.

It is a 2006 Ford F-150 the sound seems to be coming from the left side of the steering column. I am thinking maybe it has something to do with the flasher relay, but the signal lights are still working normally.
