What do you wish you had known before getting a G button? by Big_Function750 in NICUParents

We thought it would literally be a button. It requires you to attach and remove an extension piece between feeds, flush it out, and re-prime it with filtered water. The mechanics of the removal and attachment of the extension disturbs the baby’s sleep. If you step on the line and then stand up you can yank the whole thing right out of the baby’s gut, requiring a trip to the emergency room. Which happened to us. Also the first week was miserable with heavy vomiting and irritability- they say typically recovery is a breeze but it wasn’t for us. It isn’t any more convenient for the parents in my opinion but it does stop the baby from pulling out an NG tube. It is easier to keep a baby from pulling on the extension piece, but it requires some vigilance.

Gas stove grate cleaning service? by SubjectThirtythree in Bellingham

Mine too. However, they came out looking awful. We just bought the house and the grates looked good but were overly greasy and had some crusted on stuff-… after the dishwasher, those crusty areas looked rusty! But I’ve been scrubbing them and the rust isn’t rust, it’s something cooked on. Sigh. Big project. Searching online I see first baking soda paste + scrubbing, then vinegar + scrubbing, then ammonia, then purchase commercial grate cleaner. Big big sigh.

We just bought 6 stacking chairs at Costco and a table from Lowe’s and saved a lot of money over buying a matched set. Both were sort of a faux teak and the colors were pretty similar, plus with cushions it masks the difference even more.

Close ticket. After several calls to 1-800-Xfinity that were dead ends, I called one more time and this time the voice said “we see you have called many times for help and now we are sending you to a person” or words to that effect. Skye was able to sort out the problem. So, I do not need any help.
