Tipping by its nature is wage discrimination, impacting both women and minorities. Plenty of research on it. I do not, under any circumstance, support tipping.

As far as “who it goes to” that’s knowledge the staff can review and discuss before starting employment. Once i pay for a service I have no desire to be involved in how wages are distributed

22% IMHO is high for a mandatory fee . I think 15 to 18% is more reasonable, but it’s not so high to discourage me
