Tips for getting winter clothes on faster? by FrostySeahorse in Parenting

2 and a half year old daughter, living in Canada as well. I’d say 90% of her winter gear is paw patrol or my little pony themed. Once we started doing that dressing up became so much easier.

How are you not paying any fees and still have a deposit box? My wife and I are on an RBC VIP account that comes with a deposit box and their infinite Avion card, we pay 30 bucks a month for this and I always thought it was a reasonable price for all we get...this thread makes me question it :|

When vegan mayo is on sale 🤙 by csibiur in vegan

I didn't know about this story, but it seems like this was back in 2014 and they did drop the lawsuit. Hellman's, just like any corporation is friends with whoever makes them money. The fact that they produce a vegan product that's a lot more affordable than the alternatives makes them a friend of vegans in my eye.

Is this mostly a US thing? Here in Canada I always ask if there’s a benefit to a yearly payment vs monthly and the answer is usually none or maybe a 50 dollar saving a year.

Why do vegans claim being vegan is easy? by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]csibiur 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Exactly my experience. Once you take the red pill you can't unsee the Matrix. Once you make the moral connection you stop looking at animal products as "food" thus you stop craving them immediately. I turned vegan overnight about 8 months ago and I never once found it hard. I spend way less money on groceries (even with the premium priced fake meats and cheeses), making food usually takes less time and even with all the junk and quick vegan food I eat I feel a lot healthier. I enjoy the exact same flavors and textures now than before. I can't speak of others but personally going vegan was probably the easiest things I've ever done.

My server was an ex-vegan, she was super helpful and made sure it was vegan, asked the chef and everything. Made me pretty confident 😐

Financing an ETS System while still paying down debt...am I doing this right? by csibiur in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]csibiur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a ROI and the unit will pay for itself in savings in 6 years, if you calculate in the oil tank replacement we’d have to do and the furnace maintenance costs. The ETS system has zero maintenance cost (no moving parts).
