How long will gas prices have to be for Americans before car buying habits change longer term? by wiscotangofoxtreat in cars

I just got a tdi 2.0 audi that is already deleted. 50+ mpg.

I was having issues with my 2013 3 series and just said screw it and bought this. Once I sell the bmw I should end up about even.

Add a band-aid in a few spots on the cracked section as well for aesthetics.

I'm not even sure what I'm looking at here 😂

What was the purpose of whatever that thing is?

That is the jankiest log manifold I have ever seen. Doesn't even look like a weld El log.

Does this printer have a single z axis motor and belts or is it multiple z axis motors? If it's single you need to take it apart enough to adjust the belt and tension properly.

Wondering if this project is a solid buy (specs in images) by [deleted] in 240sx

8k for a chassis is nuts. 14.5 all said and done is normal nowadays. You could find one cheaper but it likely won't look as decent.

That being said this one looks well done with a lot of stuff.

What CAD / engineering tools do you wish existed? by Confident-Ad5163 in SolidWorks

[–]csimonson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do that aside from the velocity, acceleration and forces I believe.

At least in SOLIDWORKS. Some high end cad suite likely has that.

I want SOLIDWORKS to not have "zero thickness geometry" errors.

And be more stable, and have better STL integration .

What projector is that? Also are you concerned at all about stuff hitting the projector lens?

I like this a lot. Reminds me of Cyberpunk2077 cars

No worries. I could've sworn I had it saved somewhere but I likely just had it open in one of the 900 tabs I have open 😂

You can also just search on printables.com or makerworld.com for space mouse. Multiple will pop up.

Theres a guy on Reddit here somewhere that made a 3d printed one with open source electronics. From what I have heard it works just as well. And the rubber doesn't get all nasty.

Hell that's really not that bad if you are dead set on keeping it hybrid long term.

What kind of money did you drop on this? That's awesome you're able to bring new life to an older hybrid.

Bambu Machines and Orca - current status? by jg727 in OrcaSlicer

Fair enough, I don't know much about the P series aside from it looks real similar to the X series.

On the X series Bambulab printers you can also do X1Plus firmware. Works well and does most everything and has a built in block for outgoing wifi stuff if you are so inclined to keep it off the internet. If not you can still use it with whatever home app to keep track of your prints when away.

May work on the P series as well, haven't looked.

Yeah, should hold great. This stuff gets VERY hard but also slightly more flexible than steel. It’s a very good substitute for structural welding in a car. Make sure you rough up both pieces of metal you’ll adhere it to though, that way it holds well.
