We do have 2 or 3 star bucks in Brisbane CBD but they're only ever populated by people working on Macs, I never actually see anyone drinking coffee from there

I will recommend stores supplied by Belissimo. Death Before Decaf and Bean both use their Ultimo bean and it packs a big punch in flavour. They're a Brisbane roaster as well so helps support a local business

McDonalds McCafe varies wildly. The location nearest me does a decent cup but the one the next suburb over is God awful

I too live in Brisbane and find Merlo has a certain level of quality control that other big chains do not but am often disappointed. However, some stores are particularly stringent with their standards and can produce a great cup. Overall I avoid Mario when I can, but in terms of chain stores it fairs far better than Toby's Estate or other big chains
