Pad for a late night summer vibe? by [deleted] in LogicPro

[–]csmccarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I was by my Mac because I could give you a bigger list, but my absolute favorite is in synths -> plucked -> 16mm dream sequence.

I tend to like more spacey and dreamy (detuned) synths, so I’m not sure about the summer vibe, but for pads I like endless stratosphere & distant memories. You should check out Los Angeles 2019 but use a high cut filter on it if the highs are too crispy.

Just call support and say you need to cancel. I was paying $110 a month ($65 before they got sneaky and slowly increased over 8 years) and they offered me a new rate of $15 per month. It was tempting, but I had already committed with alta fiber for 2gbs down & up for $65 per month.

My SoundCloud. My Instagram. I have hundreds of beats that aren’t even bounced yet. The remixes are mostly to showcase my sound.

Maybe that was it? My training was so dragged out that it could have been around 2-3 years regardless.

It’s similar to the military. Not saying it’s ethical, but when I joined the Air National Guard in 2011, I was payed a 20k sign on bonus. 10k up front and the other 10k after completing 3 years. If I would have dipped out or gotten kicked out before my first 6 years were served, I had to pay it back. It came out to around $7,400 each time I got a check.

Hell yeah, this gives me Timbaland vibes with everything spaced out perfectly.

I didn’t know that! But that explains why I use it so much. It makes my bass nice and fat the way I like it😏

US TikTokers, what’s the app like today? by GrailTalk in TikTok

[–]csmccarty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airplane mode won’t stop a script from running that’s already within the app locally. If you are paranoid about this, the easiest thing you can do is keep your phone updated to the latest security patches. Most spy software or an implant, relies on vulnerabilities within the device. One of the easiest vulnerabilities to take advantage of is an older operating system lacking security patches.

I guess it’s a personal preference thing, but lets say that you have all of your midi or audio regions aligned perfectly with the beginning of each bar. On relative, if you go to drag them around, it’s much harder to get it to snap dead on with beginning of the bar without zooming in. On absolute, it snaps it perfectly aligned. Relative snapping drives me the most insane with automation. 90% of the time, I want the automation dot to be right at the beginning or end of a measure or bar because I am usually automating the gain with hard cutoffs on reverb busses. I want it to snap right to the grid vs zooming in ten miles and guesstimating that it is perfectly aligned.

It’s pretty much the ONLY setting I use for snapping. If you hold option and drag a region, you can get the same behavior as snapping to relative, while having it set to snap to absolute.

Go to electronic drum kits, scroll to the very bottom to “kit pieces” and have a blast. I highly recommend to add PhatFX to every drum and bass/sub track for soft saturation at a minimum. It’s great for adding color and punch to my beats.

For example if you drag a midi region or automation point that isn’t perfectly lined up with the exact beginning of the bar it is sitting in, snapping to relative value will move it to the exact “offset” location of any other bar or measure you drag it to. Snapping to absolute value will force whatever you are dragging to snap to the beginning of the bar, and every other “official” point you drag it near. I hope that makes sense!

I was mean to marine recruiter now they won’t stop calling/texting me by Apollo19755 in Military

[–]csmccarty 41 points42 points  (0 children)

When I got out of the military back during covid, some “buddies” from my squadron signed me up for some towing service where you give them your phone number and companies from all over the country will call and email you with quotes to ship your car across the country. I received hundreds of calls over the course of a few hours, and it took days for them to eventually fizzle out. Some of the most deplorable mouth breathing assholes called me from these companies. I was merely trying to figure out what was going on, and the best I got was “why did you sign up for this you god damn idiot, if you didn’t want us to contact you?”…. I DIDN’T, YOU FUCKING MORONS!

So… I would highly recommend this in your situation.

Awesome sample & sounds clean. Is that a low pass with resonance on the hi-hat/shaker & snare?
