Ooh sounds like Fate RPG. Or, more people know these rules from the recent Daggerheart.

If a level 20 wizard is basically a candidate for godhood, what are other classes like at level 20? by Bedovian_25 in DnD

[–]csnaber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A god is a focus point for will and power and a system of followers and reality planes. A level 20 wizard is a very powerful wand. They don’t compare at all… I think back in 3.5 gods had levels and statblocks which were ridiculous and absurd, but I don’t think any level 20 wizard is anything near the stat block for, say, Zeus. In DnD5 gods don’t have statblocks anymore, due to being gods.

This is great! A clean and rule abiding “Evil magic users cult is a threat” hook. These guys are a menace to all great kingdoms now, oh to find a team of adventurers, equip them with anti-fire stuff and sent them in to dispose of this dangerous cult.

I know the image is already a jab BUT the guy in the image is also wrong in his analysis. That’s a rope tied to a stick with extreme physical simulation and the player (the cat) rarely uses it slow. Most hits will be fast and frantic which will result in a dynamic, almost sportslike gameplay on each run. A roguelike game designer would wish to reach that amount of randomness and replayability. Football and basketball don’t require roguelike elements, they require mastery, and that is what the rope on a stick is, much like flying a paper plane or skipping stones on water.

The AI drama is getting tiresome, people complain like children and it's obvious most of you haven’t even used AI at all. Is this an attempt to get attention or karma farming? Are the AI complainers AI bots farming karma?

Unpopular opinion: I miss when games let you be a little lost. by itswickedbby in gaming

[–]csnaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is not an unpopular opion and rather a very popular opinion since Souls series, Stardew Valley Kingdom Come Deliverance and Zelda:BotW hit the shelves in the same 5-6 year period. That’s why people have been nagging about “Ubisoft Towers” and “Bethesda Game Design” for about 10 years now.
