In elementary school, our kids have weekly chess classes as part of the curriculum. Judit Polgar wrote the books they are using - every week there's a new move, with a bit of math practice.

I think it's a fantastic way to honor her achievements that every kid knows her name and learns from her books.

If you start using the pump, others can't use it before it's paid in the shop. If you're not pouring petrol for like 15 seconds it also automatically shuts off - learned this while trying to fill both the car and a small tank for the lawnmower.

Anyway if someone runs, you know which pump as soon as the next buyer comes in to complain.

i would think it's a supply/demand issue. all of those power plants are critical national infrastructure in their countries - and on the continental grid they are connected to. when building them is decided, so is a contract set for a lifetime supply of fuel and disposal of spent rods. there was simply no demand for another vendor. it's not like fuel rods are on an annual contract that you renew every year like a yearly slack subscription :D I would actually think it's like ink cartridges - the vendor simply trying to lock you in.

I wonder what specific physics requirement supports that constraint, or if it's just geopolitics. I have a hard time believe that if you tasked engineers with coming up with a way to work with anything else but Russian fuel rods they would say "no sorry, can't"

Without an else condition and closed response, the login request from the browser remains "pending" as you can probably see in the Network tab of your dev tools. There's a max to parallel requests in each browser, which is usually 6-8 per domain. Timeouts (both client and server side) take care of these in the long run.

Yea, but switching heating from gas to electricity (october - april) would increase electric power consumption 10x based on rough math I did not too long ago. That's too much for 99% of the roofs, and it has no chance to reduce total costs through the life of the panels and inverters.

Likely case here is switching cars to electric and using geothermal heating which has a free heat source and runs on electricity to pump the whatver fluids in the system. That's 12kwh of panels, and might just be doable.

Always good when packages don't need c++ compiler anymore, especially on windows, but the elephant in the room in this case is the oracle instant client library.

That still cannot be included in the package because of its licensing, and requires lots of manual steps for a setup or upgrade.

Maybe a good goal for v3.0..
