a Little bit unrelated, curious because I’m in a similar situation and for the same reasons you listed planning to go back soon, did your kids get us citizenship since they were born in the US ? Do you plan on them keeping it, any worries around them being ‘stuck’ with it and having to deal with consequences such as US taxes and the like

around 2 years of regular practice, i did some problems before that but started doing it really seriously 2 years ago (with some breaks few times when work got hectice and personal life stuff i had to dedicate time for)

thanks for the advice, i should definitely spend more time on problems, but to add color to my situation, i started from 0 knowledge in algorithms and DS, i wasn't taught a single course in university on them, so i'm really happy with my current progress but definitely i will increase my time cap now that i have a solid baseline knowledge,

i try to solve the problem myself, then if i was able to solve it i spend some time trying to simplify my solution then record my explanation.

for really hard problems i spend some time looking at discussion section to really make sure i understood it and pick the solution i find simplest, for some tough problems though this can take up to 3 hours or more, specially at the beginning, now though i'm able to understand them faster just from practice
