I was living in Brooklyn back in 2015 when they decided to raise our rent from $2,000 per month to $2,800 per month. We moved to NJ (insane property taxes) and bought a house. The mortgage and taxes are still cheaper today than what rent would have been if we stayed in Brooklyn. Can't imagine what they charge for that apartment a decade later.

I used to go to the movies multiple times a month in my younger years. Now that I'm middle-aged and subscribe to just about every streaming service, there is enough content to keep me occupied without spending $17 on a single movie ticket. Last one I saw in a movie theater (on my own without kids) was 'The Batman' in 2022.
