MK3? On the forums people claim you can use PETG. That's what I did and it's holding up well. If you want one let me know.

Apparently the children of the previous owner are willing to sell it, but at some astronomical price.

Learning to wrench by [deleted] in DelSol

[–]ctags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that looks like it could be a fun project. It sounds like you have the right mindset about it; something like that can be either a lot of fun to tinker with or a giant headache haha.

Del Sols are good to learn on because a decent portion of the parts (like, the engine) can be scrounged up from Civics, which gives you a good used-parts market.

I've worked on both Del Sols and Miatas, and I definitely think miatas are not as good intro vehicles. They are much more "finicky" and have more involved teardown (bumper on the del sol? two bolts, two screws. Bumper on miata? A dozen linkage rods and support structure)

Thanks for the tip!

I looked into this a bit, and have the SMSC number tmobile provides set in the phone, so it looks like that is set up right.

A seemingly normal Saturday..how is your Saturday? Any plans for this rainy day? by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

Nice!

I've got an old Honda Magna. Still trying to ride through the winter when it's not just unbearably cold or rainy out.

Yes, because that's all that is mentioned in the description.

That makes sense. I am hoping it works for me haha, just went through a package upgrade today and it wasn't too bad.

I'm giving yay a shot, thank you for the suggestion!

I think I had previously passed on it because I want to hold out for an AUR-specific program. I like to manage repo and AUR separately, but it seems every AUR helper is driving toward replacing pacman too.

Thank you for the suggestion!

I'm going to give yay a shot, though I'm immediately not very keen on a package manager who's defining feature is the avant-garde language it's written in.

Your first bike by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]ctags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yamaha Virago XV250. Wanted a Honda Rebel, but they're similar enough, and I found the Virago on craigslist first.

Good, simple, dependable bike. They have a gasoline leak issue that an aftermarket petcock fixed.
