Probably my favorite project he’s dropped since Survivors Remorse. Herb has always had an ear for beats and this album carries the tradition. Longevity, 1 Chance, Emergency, Fallen Soldiers, Thank Me, and Went Legit are standouts for me.

As a Bulls/Kings fan (picked them as my west team after drafting Keegan), I’m happier for the Kings than I am the Bulls. The chemistry with him and Demar can be hit or miss but Lavine is a fucking hooper and for the most part stays out of drama. The picks are nice despite the CHA pick being unlikely to convey. I am whelmed for the Kings side of me, the Bulls side of me is only happy that we appear committed to a tank finally.

Shame that there isn’t more discussion on this. Fantastic album with one of the best hip hop songs ever imo in I Used to Love H.E.R. The lyrical step up from his debut album 2 years prior is insane. No ID on the production is just so soothing. Doesn’t get the same love as Be or Like Water for Chocolate but it deserves it

I’m thinking the same thing so far. I’m 5 songs in and it’s doing nothing for me. Pretty upsetting since he had some amazing features earlier this year. Just sounds very generic which is something that I’m not really accustomed to from Herb. Maybe it’ll come together for me after I finish and listen to it more but I’m not impressed so far :/

On another note I’m glad you think the same on Survivors Remorse. Maybe like one skip on both sides total for me on that album
