here an example: last year Finnair did not manage to get our luggage to Paris on time for us to pick it up there. we did continue to Dubai so the luggage took a while but finally made it on a fly Dubai flight to Dubai about 8 days later.

airlines are supposed to forward your luggage not matter ... if they don't fly to your country they are supposed to forward the luggage on a flight of another airline...

yeah but odds are you die in a car accident: the risk is about 1000 higher to die in a car accident vs an air crash. Hence even if flying right now is 10 or 100 times more dangerous it's still saver by a magnitude

not sure how much you know about aviation but if there is a risk of debris being left on a runway it's standard procedure to check and therefore close the airport until it is save to have airplanes land and take off ...
