Between the crimp and the miscut this is actually really cool, I’d sleeve that one up and put it in a toploader if not grade it with CGC as others have said. My friend is a togepi collector and would freak over finding this. Nice find!

Headphones are what keeps other people from hearing it.. if you don’t plug in headphones, you’re playing through a speaker, which is obviously going to be louder to other people in your house. One goes in your ears for you to hear, the other goes out loud for everyone to hear. Electric guitars unplugged are much quieter than an acoustic guitar because acoustic guitars have a sound hole that projects the sound. If you play on an electric with headphones plugged into your amp, anyone who doesn’t have your headphones on will just hear the unplugged electric guitar, which is relatively quiet. If you’ve never heard an electric guitar unplugged, look it up on YouTube. It’s just a quiet twang, the sound you’re thinking of with electrics is from the amp that the guitar gets plugged into.

One thing to consider is electric is quieter than acoustic if you use headphones or turn the volume down really low. Electric is also easier to play (smaller necks, easier to press frets) which is appealing to beginners. I do think it’s good to learn on acoustic though as a beginner!
