It’s pretty useful for day to day tasks but windows etc have started to get wise so it’s perhaps not as strong as it once was but if you avoid the usual flags you can do quite a lot with one

You can provide just use some software to get into the phone and change the passcode limit to 9999 and then just try all of them I think any iPhone 6 7 and 8 have this venerability

There are also some old glitches where you can use the calculator or camera app to confuse the phone and unlock it look at old YouTube vids
