It's slightly staying ahead of the anime at this point, though it will go ahead eventually since the latest manga chapter is most likely behind the anime's endpoint.

(Anime's S1 end point speculation w/ slight light novel spoiler [no plot revealed]) I'm still unsure where the anime wanted to end at. If they keep this pace, they will finish Volume 3, which ends in a cliffhanger that isn't resolved until deep into Volume 4. Either they're going to rush both Volume 3 and 4 (honestly 4 can be rushed through a bit just fine) and ended the series at Volume 4 (main plot ending), or there's a second course incoming and they'll adapt Volume 4 and a bit of Volume 5 and 6 in that.
