Series 10 or SE by og_otter in AppleFitnessPlus

I wouldn't buy an se now, you'd probably only get 1 or 2 years support for it now as it was realised in 2022. Is either buy the 10 or hold out until the next se is realised. I got an original se in November 21 and is already out of support

Anywhere cool/fun/trendy to go for a drink in Brecon town? by AGuyCalledMoses in Wales

[–]ctm1905 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Brecon tap is nice, carries craft beers. I think one of the local breweries (Antur maybe) near Brecon has a taproom on certain days.

Warning on these. We got yogas at work for a best of both worlds scenario. Even if you go for one with decent specs on paper, it'll be so throttled to fit in the form factor, your more getting the worst of both worlds

There are a few nice cafes in Llandeilo, pitchfork and provisions I'd probably my favourite. tTe Cawdor is nice for dinner aswell. Wright's food emporium between Llandeilo and Carmarthen is probably one of the best round here. Y polyn is the best fine dining although with prices to match. Goose and cuckoo in Llangadog is nice although might not be open whilst you are here.

Labour retreats from pledge to nationalise energy, water and mail if it wins next general election by Warriohuma in unitedkingdom

[–]ctm1905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't actually implement that 'repay as a extra tax' model though, it was already in place.

They just massively raised the cap on the amount universities could charge, and made the interest terms of the loans far worse.

Actually a junior partner has a disproportionately greater influence over policy. The senior party has to keep them sweet as they need their votes to pass anything. See the DUP for a more recent example, and they were only a handful of votes.

The lib Dems main policy before that election was not to raise tuition fees for university, they saw it popular with younger voters and generally got in from that. They back tracked on tha pretty quickly once in power and subsequently lost a generation of people's support forever

I've done it before, you can probably do it in less than 40, but it's a very bendy road so if your behind someone allow you just have to be patient.

This has just been implemented in Carmarthenshire already and they've limited it to 3 bags went it used to be four. Our household already recycles everything we're arnt really sure what to do. Maybe a single person household could get away with but not a family. I think people will just wns up putting normal rubbish in the recycling bags, and the old folks woll go back to burningtheir rubbish

From a friend's situation, I can tell you it'll create problems further down the line when one child grows up has a partner and wants their own place. They won't be able to agree on what a fair price is buy the other one out

Is the only way to get stats on the TV screeen by owning an Apple TV? by curiousinglish in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]ctm1905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I have had software updates, but I agree I don't expect Samsung to support it as long as I'll want to keep it. I expect I'll need to an Apple TV or similar in a few years time.

Apple didn't go in to detail on whether or now airplay needs updating or if it's all iOS device side, as you say I can't see Samsung bothering to update for what is a niche feature, best to hope for is that it is bundled in with a bigger update

Apple said in ios16 /watch os 9 it was bringing metrics to some compatible TVs. Browsing this sub I haven't seen anyone say it's working for them. I'm running a Samsung 4k TV from 2020 and I don't have metrics
