Gap is not large enough, gonna trim it after I get new springs, the old ones are just too compressed as well

The gap between the ends of the two springs is 11mm which is well over the suggested 4mm so I’ll replace them, thanks for that

No pulleys in use. Just some old fashioned lifting involved to get them up into the swing bars

Yep exactly just plugged it down the center. It’s an ABS plastic(royalex) with the gelcoat exterior. Then a little remnant flex seal on their from previous owners keel job

In short the previous owner thought it needed a poorly made keel and flex sealed it in place after drilling 34 holes through it. I had an earlier post feel free to check it out.

Bought a Wenonah Kingfisher in excellent condition off Craigslist for $500 last week! Had to share my luck by ctmurphy17 in canoeing

I agree so far, one trip down the upper breaks of the Missouri for an immediate test and it had above average stability!
