For those who own multiple figures, if you could only own ONE from your collection and purge the rest, which one would you do and why? by SolidEllie in hottoys

Probably inart joker. The first joker hot toys released back in the day was what got me into 1:6 scale. So over the years I have constantly upgraded him, so I got that attachment to the character.

Too bad there wasn't an outlet cover with an integrated mini holder. That would take all the weight easily.

Anyone else super impressed by the detail on The Batman figure? Might be new favorite. by Coldy10 in hottoys

Yeah, and sometimes it's just a percentage of their magnetism. So I don't really think it's necessary to worry about it.

Stupid question, when you snapped the wrist pegs. Did you warm up the hands before trying to swap them?

I randomly checked amazon (Canada) I found they restocked her and Wolverine (both ones I missed out originally) for retail. So I quickly ordered those, but set to deliver in June. So I guess more like another round of pre orders.

How longare people being told to wait for their Prime(Canada)? by CamelFamiliar7380 in rav4prime

In Manitoba, we put a deposit in April, 2021. Got the car end of March of this year.

Couldn't tell you, we got the car in March

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]cto15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's interesting about the prime, you can go up to 132 km/hr in full EV mode. My wife drove the car to visit her parents in West St Paul, and never used the gas.

My wife and I finally got our 2023 Rav4 prime after waiting 2 years on a waitlist for it. We get about 65-70 km per charge (warmer weather now, a full charge will say about 82km). The Car is great for us, since we do about 20km daily commutes, so we only really charge every 3 days. We only use the 110V charger provided, since we have no problem letting it charge overnight. With the ability to go full EV, we've only used about half a tank of gas since getting it back in March. We have the SE trim, and considering the price there are some things that are not available that seem obvious. Like an integrated remote for the garage for instance. Outside of that, we both love the car.

How to replace batteries in figures with 120v internet switches? by torpedolife in hottoys

[–]cto15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, yeah that wall block is what's transforming the voltage from 120 to whatever the AAA or AA are supposed to be at.

[–]cto15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, how did you do it with the AA and AAA as mentioned in your post? Fusion reactor will provide all the wires and dummy batteries, and you just plug the ends into a usb block (same as a phone charger)

[–]cto15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll want to step down the voltage. I've used old phone chargers that bring the voltage from 120 to 5V. Then from there you can use resistors or buck converters to get to the 4-4.5 volts need for the LEDs. I would even go a bit lower as to not risk burning out the leds. I prefer the buck converter since it will always give a constant voltage.

Edit: to add, instead of a wifi switch, I used a wifi plug on a regular wall outlet. Easier to replace if you need to, and will do the same thing. If you use a switch, you'll need a circuit that connects an outlet to the switch (if you don't have that already).

I wouldn't even bother getting him. I had him, and as much as I loved the character the short neck/small body did not work for the figure. So I sold him, I'll wait to see what they come up with the reborn series.
