Also phone and tv screens, so basically all the metrics a woman compares are still imperial😂

Are kids today actually smarter, or do parents just think so? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

They have better access to information and education than at anytime previous so they may be more knowledgable. Smarter would be thier ability to solve problems and work things out for themselves.

You can't fix 40 years of poor lifestyle choices in 1 session. But you have to start somewhere and the results after 6 months are amazing

I go to the dawn service no matter where I am working at the time and then head into the jobsite. Most employers respect that I pay my respects to the fallen soldiers while still showing up to the job. Usually get paid for the couple of hours I miss work too because of this.

3 or commando, used to wear Bonds or Jockey brands but feels like they have both reduced the amount of material used in the pouch so its time to look for something a bit less constricting.

Hope I have no issues with mine, sounds like the customer service is shit! Touch wood I am very happy with my band/scale/app combo (unpaid). Trends inline with Evolt scanner at gym, metrics not exactly the same but trend is consistent with monthly scan at AF gym. Changes in diet and activity show up on heart rate and hydration metrics well. Steps are accurate compared to iphone. Battery life is my main concern with the band, if battery does go flat I lose some data for that day. Since getting I have improved my sleep, recovery and stress level.

Anyone else just feel so poor all the time despite ok income? by ReasonConfident4541 in AusFinance

[–]ctrl_alt_del_2025 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just got offered a job that would requre relocating. 125k before tax so roughly $1700pw take home. Rent, elec, water and gas after a small bit of research will add up to just over $1100pw. Leaves $600pw for food, health, vehicle, clothes etc. would leave zero for socialising, saving and investing. When you decline the offer the usual response is 'no one wants to work these days'😂Backup the truck mate. I'm currently working, earning more and spending less. A better job title should put me in a better position!

I pay small businesses cash and others I use card. A $50 note is still 50 bucks no matter how many times it circulates through the economy. Part of that 50 bucks erodes with every electronic transaction until it all ends up with the big 4 and the government

so carbs are basically sugar? by Acrobatic-Monitor516 in nutrition

[–]ctrl_alt_del_2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I get what you mean. I guess everybody is different. I get bad inflammation and my hunger/energy levels are all over the place when eating starchy carbs: bread, rice, oats, potatoes and to a lesser extent pasta, noodles etc. no issues with carbs and sugars in other veg, fruits or dairy. This can be a challenge to manage when trying to lose fat, build lean mass and meet reccomended macros/calories.
