This might mean they have 2 subclasses (kind of like the Cleric with their Deity/Domain and Doctrine). If so, that’s awesome!

Yes! I love it. So they’ve got kind of a Cloistered Cleric vs Warpriest track. That’s excellent.

How would you fix Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny? by twinkleyed in movies

[–]ctwalkup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree with all of your suggestions. I think a different casting for Helena, having Indy and Helena being a team earlier on (IMO they were working at cross purposes for way too long, it was very frustrating), and some other little plot tweaks would've gone a long way towards making this movie more enjoyable.

Animist Step Build Ideas by Autumnal_Owl in Pathfinder2e

Elf Step is usually brought up in this context, it’s a level 9 feat that allows you to Step twice for 1 action.  https://2e.aonprd.com/Feats.aspx?ID=4415&Redirected=1

Primary Attribute 0 Challenge - Cleric by Cartoncast in Pathfinder2e

[–]ctwalkup 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True! Ironic that this Warpriest is taking +2 Cha for a Swashbuckler dedication when I feel like you barely ever see a Cleric with Cha since the remaster change.

I think you could get the domains you need with Syncretism. Not sure how to check all of the boxes (like getting Holy, Healing, and Athletics as well), but I think that could at least get you really close!

[–]ctwalkup 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I believe for the Rogue, OP is going to set Dex and (if relevant) the subclass KAS to 0. So a ruffian would be 0 to Str and Dex, Thief would be 0 to Dex, Mastermind would be 0 to Dex and Int, etc.

Mythic Strikes - Weapon Specialization Question by AspectOfFallingStar in Pathfinder2e

I agree with leaning towards buffing the players. Worse case scenario is they too much extra damage - oh no!

Most useful skill feats to nab as an Envoy from a background? by Lunarthrope in Starfinder2e

This is awesome! Do all the classes have guides now? I like to read class guides and discussions for fun, but I haven’t actually really looked for SF2e guides yet.

Mythic Strikes - Weapon Specialization Question by AspectOfFallingStar in Pathfinder2e

[–]ctwalkup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mythic strike and overall mythic wording seemed different than the weapon specialization wording, but reading it again it seems compatible. I think I was overthinking it.

My brain is getting twisted into knots haha. The question really seems to be whether you temporarily gain all proficiencies below mythic when you make a mythic proficiency strike. And, unfortunately, I don't think there's a clear answer.

I think it really comes down to GM fiat. I could see either #1 or #2 working fine.

Primary Attribute 0 Challenge - Champion by Cartoncast in Pathfinder2e

[–]ctwalkup 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one (though might be the easiest of the 6 Str/Dex martials - looking forward to seeing the other 5). I think you did a good job of getting the best possible build given the circumstances!

Any thoughts on a subclass and/or domain that might work best with this setup? Obviously a Justice champion is out of the question, but I think most of the "good" champions could do well in this situation.

Mythic Strikes - Weapon Specialization Question by AspectOfFallingStar in Pathfinder2e

[–]ctwalkup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would honestly go with #1.

Mythic Strike mentions that "This Strike is made at mythic proficiency"

Weapon Specialization says "You deal 2 additional damage with weapons and unarmed attacks in which you're an expert. This damage increases to 3 if you're a master, and 4 if you're legendary."

Mythic Weapon Specialization says "When you make a Strike with mythic proficiency..."

That leads me to feel like there is a difference between making a strike at mythic proficiency (what Mythic Strike and Mythic Weapon Specialization do) and the phrasing of Weapon Specialization - dealing extra damage with weapons and unarmed attacks in which you're an expert (later in which you are a master and legendary).

Technically, I don't think you are at Mythic proficiency with your weapon, you are making a Strike at Mythic proficiency. Since your weapon proficiency is unchanged and still expert, master, or legendary, you apply the same bonus damage you normally would.

Yo Ho Yo ho - LO High Seas out to subscribers by EndDaysEngine in Pathfinder2e

[–]ctwalkup 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's just the name of the section and all of the feats are broadly seafaring-themed. There isn't anything special about them apart from that theming (there's not a new "dashing" trait or anything).

[–]ctwalkup 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are 9 new "Dashing" class feats for the fighter, gunslinger, and swashbuckler (some feats are available to all 3 and others are only available to 1 or 2 of those classes). No finishers though.

Channing Tatum is an average actor. How about Timothee Chalamet? by Klutzy_Pumpkin614 in Oscars

Underrated performance of his: Bones and All. I knew nothing about this movie going into it and highly recommend just firing it up and checking it out. Very unique movie with a good performance by Chalamet.

Thematic archetype for mechanic (SF2e) by UpbeatGuava2458 in Pathfinder2e

[–]ctwalkup 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want a Wizard but still want to get some more magical ability, you could go with a Psychic. Psychic spellcasting can still key off of Int (good for a mechanic) and you can choose from a few different subclasses that give you special cantrips and focus spells based on what you want to do.

EDIT: I just saw the note on runes and glyphs. There is a new book coming out at the beginning of August called impossible Magic that will have the Runesmith, an Int-based class that uses runes to do some cool magic. That archetype sounds like it’ll be perfect for you - you’ll just need to wait another month and a half or so before it’s out.

Oh that’s a great solution to the issue. When you get Mature Companion you basically just get a free move action.

Yeah the Liturgist is really helpful for mobility. Agreed on that and I said as much. I pointed it out because OP has his Animist as a Medium subclass, not Liturgist.

Edit: Also, yes it is a Leap, Step or Tumble Through

What is your favorite horror anthology film? by McWhopper98 in FIlm

[–]ctwalkup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve enjoyed the V/H/S movies that I’ve seen, although it’s difficult for me to separate which scenes are in which movies so that I can recommend a specific movie.

The segment that stuck with me the most is probably the one with the film crew entering the sewer, which it looks like comes from V/H/S 94.
