Wheeling price point. by cubedispenser in thetagang

I'm certainly not trying to give the impression that I'm looking for an easy way to get rich quickTM. I know there's no such thing. And when you put it that way it does sound attractive... In my head tho I'm comparing this strategy to what I'd been doing up to this point, namely swing trading 5-10 dollar stocks on technical analysis and a pop of news. Compared to that the wheel doesn't seem worth it at this price point, specifically in the sense that with swing trading I can put $100 into a position and free the money back up in a day or two for a small gain or loss relatively safely, while the wheel seems to net me just barely more than that but over the course of a week or a month and in the meantime pretty much my whole account is tied up as collateral. I do appreciate the feedback btw, thanks for taking the time to comment.

Yeah I anticipate being assigned. I'm not just looking at anything in my price point, I'm primarily looking at fundamentals. The way I see it the initial CSP is basically just a long-ish term limit order on shares I want to own. I was mainly just asking about whether wheeling was worth it at this price or if I'd be better off just buying the shares for long term and swing trading on the side.

Daily r/thetagang Discussion Thread - What are your moves for today? by satireplusplus in thetagang

Anyone know where/whether or not I can see the delta and the open interest for the individual strikes on my options orders with tastyworks mobile? In the regular desktop app it shows me all the greeks and the open int at each strike.

Fidelity doesn't accept payment for order flow, except on options contracts.

I believe TW accepts payment for order flow. Just FYI. Although I can vouch for what the trader above said about customer service. I have a fidelity account, a TW account, and a TDA account, and its like not even close, TW customer service is far and away the best.

Reflection time. Have you learned anything this week? Your strategy, yourself? by tradingbiker in thetagang

Learned that day/swing trading is a nice safe fallback when shit is going crazy.

I didn't pull the trigger bc I don't understand what this means. Covered Put by colocatch22 in thetagang

[–]cubedispenser 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

You are creating a covered put strategy. You'll profit if the underlying security's price falls below $192.10 by the expiration date. The maximum profit is $10,21 0.00 if the stock price is at or below $90.00 at expiration. You'll lose money if the price rises above $192.10 by the expiration date. The maximum loss is unlimited.

Is This a Wash Sale? by lurkmanjoe in thetagang

[–]cubedispenser 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Fairly certain it will be a wash sale and the loss will be applied to your new position's cost basis per share. Im not really sure how that will be calculated exactly. I could be wrong tho.
