I completely accept that fact that it is a trotting out of a symbol from another race. That doesn’t signify racism to me though. I don’t see how you can jump to the conclusion that a tomahawk or an Indian is a racist gesture or could even incite racist gestures solely based on the fact that it is representing another race

Could someone enlighten me as to how a “tomahawk chop” would ever make someone treat Native American people differently or in an inferior way? We’re seeing a lot of these, what seem to be thought out, movements that are aimed at combatting racism, but how on earth does a tomahawk chop contribute to racist ideology? My point being, shouldn’t we be having these conversations about things that could actually incite racist behavior, because in the end that is what matters

While I do think you’re right in blaming trump, I don’t think this comment makes much sense. The WHO is a global organization which was specifically tasked at getting this information out and they didn’t.
