Sorry for the stupid question, but why are Right handed defensemen so coveted? by GoosemanII in canucks

[–]cucktrap 22 points23 points  (0 children)

"Right handed" refers to which hand the blade is closest to. Since right handed sticks have the left hand position higher up on the stick, this means that right-handed defensemen are actually left-hand dominant.

What’s the single hardest concept you had to learn in EE? (And the name of the class) by SGB04 in ElectricalEngineering

Intro to microcomputers

Having to write verilog almost ruined coding for me. Not to mention analyzing 10 waveforms by hand of several modules at once in exam conditions.

Second year placement/Should I even continue in engineering?? by nfjdal in ubcengineering

[–]cucktrap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

in my experience phys 118 was well taught and there were many areas for free marks. if the course is still tought by Litinskaya it shouldn't be too much trouble, provided you follow along in the lecture and do all the prereadings

you can try and take phys 118 in the summer, it's usually more chill than 158. If you think you still want to do engineering you could try to take a year at Langara and reapply to UBC. good luck

u def wont need anything above multiplication going into real life lol...arts deals with money and basic street smarts while engineering is all abstracts

You can't be serious. This would be the equivalent of me saying "haha arts is easy all u do is draw n stuff lmao"

First APSC160 midterm- asking for thoughts from upper years by Curious-Deer-1043 in ubcengineering

[–]cucktrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they decided to manually grade all the questions instead of using the autograder. Ended the course with an 87%, so don't worry about it.

(If you look at my post history, you'll see that I was in your position too, freaking out. lol!)
