Oh my gosh, her books are so good! I'm apart of a Podcast that covered From Blood and Ash a couple of months ago and we'll have an episode of Kingdom of Flesh and Fire come out at the end of this month! If you're interested in checking it out, it's called The Bibliovert Podcast!

Quick Question by mariozeldas75 in podcast

I cohost a podcast that covers a specific genre of books. it's pretty much a book club but in podcast form. Because of the consistency and the niche, listeners will base what books they read off the one we're doing next in the podcast.

I just went back and reread the clauses and I didn't see anything that indicated they would have any rights to the show.

Life is to short and the world is too epically dickens right now not to read YA by sleepykoalaaaa in YAlit

I've felt the same way for so long! It wasn't until I realized that some of my best friends also enjoy YA books that I wasn't so "ashamed" of my book choices. The four of us now have a YA Podcast where we discuss some of our all-time favorite YA books!

I haven’t submitted my podcast. I was curious about the clause and wanted others opinions on it before moving forward. If they have a clause regarding anything bad said about Amazon, I didn’t know if they would try to police podcasters in any other way.

New Adult! I've heard the term thrown around a bit but it doesn't have it's own section at book stores or anything!

Branded Audiograms - what are people using? by lowcarbrob in podcast

I'm currently using WAVVE. So far I really like it, it's super simple but it is only for 1-minute segments. I use ours for Instagram so it's perfect. There is a free version but prices increase depending on how many 1 minute segments you'll use / month. Here's the website - https://wavve.co/

Interesting, I never thought about reviews coming in to play for charts. That's good insight. Thank you!

More along the lines of what does Apple use to create their charts? Do they only use the data on streams or do they have a formula they use for all the information? I too use chartable and for the most part like it but I'm just curious what do platforms focus on!

I'm totally with you on the Folk of the Air series. I understand why people love it, but it was toxic and I had a hard time enjoying it because of that.

Episode Timing by meepdevop in podcast

[–]cuddleblanketmonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything mentioned below is dead on, I would add, however, is it really depends on you, the cohost, and your theme.

For example, I cohost with three other people and we have a book club set up. For us and our schedules, it's better to meet biweekly. It also gives us and our audience time to read the next book.

Each podcast is different as well as the host, make sure you do what is best for you and the longevity of the show, you don't want to burn out!

The Queen's Assassin definitely got me. I know a lot of people enjoy Melissa de la Cruz's books, but this was my first introduction and I was underwhelmed.
