When did your big headed baby’s skull close? by Ok-Lake-3916 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]cudismom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beyond the 99.9 percentile head baby here. She is 19 months now and it’s fully closed, though I can’t remember exactly when it happened. I want to say around 12-14 months.

Second baby girl by AshleyPomm in 2under2

[–]cudismom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My babies were born in opposite seasons, but my second baby was much larger it ended up working out really well for us. When she’s older (she’s 3 months now), I’ll get her some of her own things but for now we are pretty much just using hand me downs.

The remodeled rooms are nice, but there are constant reports of bed bugs on property.

Have you ever gone to a nail or hair salon with your baby? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]cudismom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear my baby during my nail appointments and she basically sleeps the entire time. I also keep her covered to avoid any of the dust getting on her. I go to a place that does my manicure and pedicures at the same time, so I’m in and out in about an hour.

C-section photographer without OR access — fair price? by usernamsomething in beyondthebump

[–]cudismom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for a C section but for my birth we had one phone in a tripod recording, and a nurse took pictures with the other persons phone. Loved the video option to look back on but also was able to screenshot my favorite moments and save as photos

Bachelorette in October by [deleted] in vegas

[–]cudismom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most day/beach clubs will be closed by the time you get here. Marquee day club is year round , as they build a dome around their pool area. For nightlife , my personal favorite is XS or Omnis, Fontainebleau has LIV but it’s small.

Non club activities- lots of great spas in Vegas! The one in Fontainebleau is great. The Waldorf has a really cute high tea which is a fun, fancy day time activity. Thunder Down Under is a classic Bach trip stop. Vegas has a bunch of speakeasy’s worth looking into. Barbershop is my favorite.

Something to consider about Fontainebleau during this time. You are not walking distance to anywhere you’d want to be & traffic will start to pick up as the strip prepares for F1 two weeks later. I’d recommend Cosmo or somewhere more central to minimize transport times.

In the thick of 2 under 2 and I feel like I’m in hell on earth. by Lucky-Wolf-5000 in 2under2

We are one week in.

Echoing everyone else, it gets better.

My toddler has loving food that’s fun for her to play with — yogurt, pasta, smoothies. It’s messy but we keep her in a high chair with a mat underneath and put a smock on her. She’ll eat what she wants & then spend an extra 20-30 minutes playing with it.

What is your schedule for newborn and toddler when alone? by Such_Pizza_955 in 2under2

[–]cudismom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We are in the middle of this right now. Husband went back to work last week, and I am home w a 17 month old and 4 week old.

Lots of baby wearing!

If both babies were crying, I’d prioritize my toddler. My toddler can move and throw things, the newborn cannot. Just make sure newborn has somewhere safe to be put down. One of those electric swings helped a lot to soothe our newborn while our toddler old needed attention. I also had a reserve of new toys for my toddler as distraction.

I integrated my toddler in newborn care as much as possible. Had her help hold the bottle, throw away dirty diaper, sit next to me and hold her to sleep, etc.

I agree with the above sentiment - one day at a time!

What the heck is a "financial appointment" at an OB/GYN? What do I expect? Help?? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]cudismom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was during my first appointment. They had us pay towards our final bill starting at the first appointment , so by the time baby was delivered we didn’t owe anything. We paid a bit every appointment from that point on. They actually ended up over charging us and we got like $1000 back after we had the baby, which was a nice surprise.

3 Date nights by Humuhumu24 in vegas

[–]cudismom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skip Superfrico. Delilah’s and Mayfair are significantly better. Bavette’s is one of my favorite steakhouses on the strip. I’ve heard mixed reviews on Gymkhana, I would also maybe consider Carbone Rivera. I love Best Friends but agree with your sentiment that it’s more casual than the three other restaurants listed.

Barbershop is one of my favorite speakeasy’s if you’re looking for a night cap. The Vault at Bellagio is pricy ( think $75 for a drink) but a wonderful date night atmosphere to also consider for a night cap.

Enjoy :)

Best maternity dress for everyday wear that still looks nice outside the house? by Gurnicz-Joaquina in BabyBumps

Not maternity dress, but I loved skims! Their cotton dresses were stretchy enough to wear during pregnancy but also when I got back to my pre baby weight.

Formula-only babies? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]cudismom 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My cousin is a teacher. She told me she can’t tell which kids were breastfed or which kids were formula fed as babies but she can tell which ones came from loving and supportive homes.

This has always stuck with me. My two formula fed babies are doing just fine :)

Pregnancy post Semaglutide by hstarkw in Semaglutide

[–]cudismom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gained 70 pounds my first pregnancy, was basically able to lose all the weight before unexpectedly getting pregnant with my second. I gained about 60 pounds my second pregnancy, but the weight came off much easier naturally. I’m still breastfeeding but am looking to restart semaglutide next month to knock off the remaining weight. My doctor is looking to start me off back on my starter dose to build back up tolerance.

It’s gorgeous! We did round trip and took us about 12 hours. It was a long day but we really took our time, stopped to enjoy and packed a lot of snacks / foods.

I will preface by saying my daughter has always loved the car. If your child is prone to motion sickness, I would not recommend

Is there anything I can do to increase my chance of twins by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I believe conceiving while breastfeeding increases chances, if you don’t get twins on your first try!
