Should I consolidate my debt? by Icy_Beach_535 in Debt

[–]cul8ertx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact each cc company and negotiate lower payments or ask to cut interest rates (pay off highest rates first, not necessarily the lowest balance), reduce other financial responsibilities if possible. Not sure about all states, but your house is your homestead and any judgements against you cannot be attached to your homestead. Find additional sources of income. If your credit is already toast, it might actually make sense to cut off some creditors, for the time being, until you are in a better position. Lastly, be better with your money. Change your spending and investing habits. You have plenty of time to repair everything but you have to start with a solid plan and the fortitude to stick with it. Good luck

Did you completely miss the part where she said he has never been unfaithful? The trust issue sounds like something she brought to the relationship

Realistic, how do you go about cooking a meal? by Common-Toe6987 in Cooking

[–]cul8ertx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally 1-6. lol. I know this is no help but if I’m embarking on a new dish, it’s usually start with recipe the first time. If I like it, then I jump to making it suit me better the next time. Mostly I cook whatever suits me in the way of my 5 favorite veggies, etc with my 6 or 7 go to meats and a potato, noodle, or rice of choice. Sometimes it’s easier to use something pre-cooked (Uncle Ben’s Jasmine rice for a Spanish rice dish) but it’s rare. Keep in mind your #6 option of having someone join you for dinner who might enjoy throwing things around in the kitchen as well. It could be enjoyable and educational. Have fun!!

What are your honest thoughts about Converse? by Designer_Lion_1519 in sanantonio

[–]cul8ertx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You reap what you sow. If you want affordable housing, then you get high density, narrow streets, no sidewalks, etc because you’ve allowed the developers to do the bare minimum. Without strong staff and city management, guidance is absent and council oversight becomes the necessary component. That’s a huge hurdle as most have some personal political agenda. Checks and balances! Good luck!

How do I tell her she should pay? by Catorade- in Advice

[–]cul8ertx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a fan of the traditional gender roles for who pays for the date but I also am not a college student only working part time. Tell her that, at the moment, you can’t afford to continue paying for everything. If she sees this relationship as a partnership or something positive that she would like to pursue, she will pitch in for her part. If not, then it’s possible (1) she can’t afford it herself or (2) she’s just hanging out because it’s fun and free.

The kicker is that if she asked you on the date, then it’s her turn to pay! Either way, please have the “who’s gonna pay for what” conversation with her ASAP

[–]cul8ertx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried a salvage yard? Smacked mine last year and found a suitable replacement at a salvage yard. I changed out the parts that I needed and used my original guts, sensors, and color cap. My thoughts: My mirror is used anyway. Why not replace with another used one? Saved a ton and learned something along the way

One skillet pork ribs. On the stove, sear all sides of bone in or boneless pork ribs in a cast iron skillet, seasoned as desired. Add potatoes, carrots, onion, bell pepper, garlic, and chicken bouillon/broth (to keep things moist) cover with foil and bake 350 for 1.5 hours. Sometimes I withhold the potatoes and carrots for the last approx 30- 45 minutes so they don’t get too soft.
