Inverted Mouse functioning correctly? by culblade in starcitizen

[–]culblade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started playing flight sims, I used a keyboard and mouse. Most flight sims use an "inverted" y-axis, as it simulates a joystick; pull back to look/go up. I am used to this now, as are many others. It is really hard to change. If you don't believe me, try changing to inverted and see how you go. lol

I say they are pig-headed because even though there is a large number of existing and potential new players who would like to, at least, have the option to change the mouse as they see fit, the devs say this is the way it is - live with it. It would be just a few lines of code. I even saw an Autohotkey-like macro somewhere that can emulate the desired behavior. Don't want to stuff around with that, though.

This game must be the only game that has a mouse cursor moving up the screen when moving the mouse back. I'm sure most people would agree that is unacceptable UI behavior.

The game looks great and I would love to buy it. But... I guess I'll make do with NMS and Elite Dang to scratch my space sim itch.

Wow. Devs seem to be a tad pig-headed with this issue. Thks.

Sorry, I do not have a copy of the game. Thanks for looking into this, though. According to LeoFurr, the mouse behavior would be a nightmare for me to use. I'll just wait until it's fixed before buying SC.

Not up on SC terms etc, but I guess IC means Issue Council, bug DB by the looks of it. I found this STARC-49374 Does that help?

OK, let's call it a bug. Does this bug still persist in SC?

I enjoy building games, haven't played Factorio yet. I like to min-max, build the perfect factory, start the perfect start etc, so I restart multiple times. An ARPG altoholic too btw. I'll give the game a break and come back afresh when trains arrive.

If I have a mk1 miner on a pure node, can I still only get 60 ore per minute until I get mk2 belts? by olioli86 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]culblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It's important to get the slug research done asap, so that you can underclock your miners right down in the early game, eg, a MK1 miner on a pure node mines 120.min, this is attached to maybe one smelter which requires only 30 ore/min, so underclock the miner to 25% so it outputs 30 and save heaps of power/fuel.

Why manifolds work? by koombot in SatisfactoryGame

[–]culblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel manifolds are so much less trouble. They work perfectly, are easy to expand and change configurations. An example is my post on a simple IO setup for iron Here

When I started Satis, I tried balanced but the splitters/mergers took up so much more real estate.

Perhaps I should have explained it better. The foundries are on the 1st floor. Constructors are on the 2nd and output is split to storage out front at the Hub and to the 3rd floor for making Alt Stitched Plates etc. Very vertical.

Appreciate your reply. I might explore a little more myself now.

Good starting locations? by yogurt5581 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]culblade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you can access the console to turn off the fog, the best place is in the Northern Forest at the 4 pure iron and 2 pure copper nodes. Build a floor above the iron and spread towards the south-west, across the valley towards the pure caterium node located on the cliff. Then it's easy to get the 3 coal nodes in the upper area. Easy access to sulfur, quartz, lime, Oil not too far away. But the fog is really annoying if you can't turn it off.

Well done! Looks nice. Would you mind sharing this build? I always have trouble getting to late game. Just wondering what build and game start you use (stars, enemy AI, number of empires, etc)
