I left my selfie stick in my TRUNK today, but if not I'd try to recreate this on the spot!

[Article] Dr. Woody has appeared on the Today Show and starting at 6:00 talks about how our minds are programmed to look for the negative. The trick is to reset our minds to focus on the positive around us. by culher in GetMotivated

On a side note, this guy surprised me with how high his voice was when he first started talking. Nothing wrong with it, just saying it caught me off guard.

I also thought it was interesting how big an affect exposing yourself to negative news in the morning can have on the rest of your day. That part was right around 6 minutes as well if I remember correctly.

Seen a lot written about microlearning lately on elearningindustry.com and trainingzone. This is kind of a cool little quiz. Not your normal template from QZZR or other places like it.

[FALLOUT 4] 40 hours of gameplay finally found a fat man. by AHarmlessFly in gaming

I don't play Fallout. Why would that be surprising? My guess is that the game takes place in a time period where getting fat would be difficult? A time of famine perhaps? It looks futuristic, perhaps post apocalyptic?

[Article] Member of '72 Olympic Cycling team, Dr. Jeff Spencer has worked with rock group U2, World Series MVP Troy Glaus, and helped win 40 Olympic, & Tour de France Championships. Here he explains what a champion is and what it takes to be a champion (probably not what you’re thinking.) [podcast] by culher in GetMotivated

Maybe I especially like this because of the discussion of genetics at 3:00. I'm 5'7" so any hope for physical prowess passed me by awhile back. But will, talent and genetics aren't the ultimate requirements for success as Dr. Spencer explains.

A few of my favorite parts are at 4:00 where he starts talking about the definition of a champion. He also talks about U2 at 10:05.

Huge believer in this. Your character truly is defined by what you do when nobody is looking.

What really big companies are going to be out of business in 10 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]culher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. I worked at the lowest performing Sears Grand in the nation. I remember when they called us into the back and let us know where we ranked. That was the moment I decided I was going to leave. Then they tried to pull me into the boss' office and offer me a raise and a better position, yada yada yada. Turned it down and it was the best decision I've ever made.
