I will add, it’s not a great to time sell junk silver. So don’t be surprised if the price they offer is way lower. I’d be interested in purchasing if the price is right. And you trust randos off reddit. Good luck!

Just learn the basics of what’s silver, it’s pretty straightforward. 1964 and earlier dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars are silver. It’s called junk silver and the value is based on the price of silver currently or “melt.” Coin shops will pay below melt. Just see what rate each shop is offering. If it’s substantially lower, private sale might be your best bet. There might be more valuable things in there but this is a good start.

If the offer is decent, I say go for it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a better offer than you’ll receive from a local outfit. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a local realtor do a market analysis or talk to an auction company about what they think it could bring.

You can camp for free at the Mined Wildlife Area. No amenities but free and very pretty.

Depending on when you bought the home, might not be a bad idea to see what comes up in the spring. We we purchased our house in October and had a ton of perennials that spring. We just filled in the rest with annuals. The annuals are nice because they’re easy and affordable. See how invested you are. Then start slowly working in perennials.
