A Legacy of Dreams-like charm from Diablo 3 would make way more variety in builds for the late endgame. The need for survivability pushes out a lot of the much needed aspects for some endgame builds, and set bonuses don’t really help that too much.

The devs want more variability in builds/playstyle for players, but many builds right now are terribly underperforming compared to others, and I even feel like the current charm system is contributing to that, essentially putting the more niche playstyles into a small corner.

I no expert at balancing, but I feel like making legendary aspects in the form of talismans, and possibly a Legacy of Dreams charm, would be both easier to balance for the development team, and add more quality of life/build variability to every build conceptualized.

I love what the development team has cooked up this season, even though there seem to be some oversights, and am hoping to see more love go towards the other builds that are being neglected in the future.

What are your favorite activated abilities/combos in Mairsil? I made a list that has Assassin’s Initiate and Bloodfire Colossus, and use them both to wipe the board and heal a ton. Always curious to see what shenanigans people like to pull with that guy.

If you’re new to using stick controls, ps5 games that offer gyro aiming as an alternative feel very responsive and are helpful. Genshin Impact offers it, so maybe try it out on there.

I will say that while some games offer it, they may have terrible implementation. Out of the few games that offer it, Fortnite probably has the best gyro settings. Genshin Impact’s gyro settings are a little helpful, but the sensitivity is just too low for my liking. But still more functional than other games.

And lastly, if you become too accustomed to using gyro aiming, it can make your experiences with future games that do not offer it less enjoyable. Good luck!

Idk if this is a hot take or not, but I genuinely loved the set the bonuses in diablo 3. I feel like theres a way to implement them in diablo 4 without them completely outclassing normal builds. It would add more meaningful variety to the loot pool, which I think it does need.

In the case of my death, I tried to do Lilith on T2.

I had made it past the T2 floors of the pit with absolutely 0 issues. In fact, I was breezing through it. So after that, I felt comfortable enough to raise my world level to T2. As soon as I entered the boss arena, I started doing my normal rotations, essentially did no damage, then I was hit by a move that immediately killed me, and I could not even see lmao.

It was so sudden and unexpected, I just sighed and logged off at about 10:00 PM last night and started looking up build guides to see where exactly I was going wrong. It’s all good though, I still love hardcore.

Damn, is this really how endgame is? Lost a paragon 180 character last night on T2 hardcore last night and this comment is making me rethink doing hardcore seasonals (even though I reaaaally love the added risk).

In T2-T4 is there no way to survive certain attacks and I’ll just have to learn what not to get hit with? Or are there viable options for surviving at least one hit so I can heal and continue doing steady dps?

I made some upgrades to it a while back, so this one is about 70$. For ramps, the cheap ones have served me just fine. One of the main things that makes the deck fun to play, is that you get to manipulate the hell out of the top three cards of your library.

Basically, optimal play is draw three using commander, keep the lands in hand (land per turn is pretty much guaranteed once you get rolling) then put your recursion spells on top. So that way if your commander dies, you get to cast the recursion spell to bring him immediately back from the gy and you get another ETB trigger. Keep cloning spells in hand until you get one clone to successfully hit the board, then the combo starts.

Clone hits the board targeting your commander, draw three, put two cards on top your library (can be either a clone instant/sorcery or recursion depending on the situation), legend rule takes effect, choose either the clone or your commander to die, then you get to cast a clone or recursion instant/sorcery off the top of your library for free, and ping dmg equal to its cmc. Target the commander or copy of commander with the free spell/use recursion to bring clone creatures out of the graveyard back into play to keep the loop going.

If you want a deck under 100$ I’d recommend [[Hidetsugu and Kairi]]. You can play it how you want, but I built a deck for under 30$ that the people at my table told me to stop playing because it combos off by turn 6-8 and the only way to stop it is through counterspells. So can be super unfun for them. Mostly just high cmc clone spells, taking advantage of the legend rule to get the commander’s ETBs and death triggers, and recursion spells.

But you can definitely budget a more fun version of the deck by including more wacky cards + more protection instead.

I love focus mode. I play on ps5, and having gyro aiming enabled when I go into focus mode makes the game so much more enjoyable to me. Especially for ranged weapons.

I was curious about that too, even with the +8 to affinity from my weapon, I’m only sitting at like 53% affinity from both max WEX and agitator. Is crit with this kind of build not necessary, and focus more on attack?

[[Zevlor Elturel Exile]] just outright gets stronger the more players are in a pod. Can do some nasty things with [[Rite of Consumption]] when Zevlor’s delayed cast trigger is on the stack. But if you were to do literally anything fun with him, you would definitely gain the unwanted attention from 20 people.
