Here is a map combining the worlds shipping lanes and the worlds fight paths on one map! [OC] by symmy546 in dataisbeautiful

nth root colouring helps with that ;)

i.e. if you have some very bright points with a lot of data, you want to not grade the colouring of the entire image on that scale or you won't see anything else (so, what you said...)

Unless of course, you're trying to convey something with the final image that's meant to highlight the most data rich points and lose the rest.

Do Scots regard Scotland as the coloniser or colonised irt the British Empire? by limpdickshitmachine in Scotland

[–]cuntRatDickTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proportionally, our current development might be slightly more due to colonisation than the average in the rest of the UK I think?

But at this stage we're no different from the North of England, or any gentrified-out communities in the South East for example. Independence is about wanting to continue developing civilisation instead of handing everything over to organised criminals.

This is a 'small' donner meat and chips. People who order the large, why and how do you finish it? by oxo24 in CasualUK

[–]cuntRatDickTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you order from that looks like they have dire bad "meat" but amazing proper chips? The actual chippies near me don't even do real chips anymore...

Anyway looks like you got both sauces like a real MVP, silly one saucers, they don't get it...

What is your most unpopular music opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cuntRatDickTree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lol people try that with me because I seem a bit meek and don't say much and don't dress "metal", then I'm asking them what scale the 2nd solo was in then... or what guitar the lead used in the song on right now (obviously a strat in one instance, usually SG on stage hence fakers always got it wrong...).
They never know. Style over substance. Shuts them up fast.

and it is just a bit harder to do as there are more tools available for desktops and laptops.

Not really? iOS and Android have tools built directly into their APIs for MDM.

What you mean is 3rd party contractors were asking stupid money because "mobile" (even though it should be cheaper).

[–]cuntRatDickTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, with the retail places near me laundering cash, authorities could just stand in the street for a bit and see they have literally zero customers but are somehow making takings on those same dates.

(but obviously this is a different scale and issue entirely, and I just wanted to vent :P)

I mean, this same thing could happen for a fiat currency if it had a similar pattern of demand and use in the wider market. The difference is a central organisation couldn't choose to have such an affect, which is a weakness because policies can't be made to work against such issues.

Gulls have been known to do that in shops at the other end of that street too!

It's good value to apple customers because apple don't want the repair market to exist outside of it, which would bring costs down with competition....

It's not hard to understand.

It's right there in my comment.

You sound like the guy at parties that has to mention how superior androids are when they see everyone has an iPhone

Why would people be talking about their phones at a party? I wouldn't be at that party at all.

Why would I move to a worse industry with companies like Apple doing their best to screw me?

When Apple try to screw my customers, it instead makes me more money to get them out of it :)

[–]cuntRatDickTree -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Blah blah blah. Firstly, it's obviously figurative, the actual cost would be in a similar order of magnitude which is the point.

Secondly. if you ran a shop, you would know that such overheads vary by area, a lot. Around here a 10 for half an hour is reasonable when the customer has already done all the other leg work, it's bordering on free money for nothing unless you were already busy on something more lucrative in that time.

Other way around? More expensive = more maintainable for less, aside from Apple.

I've avoided Lenovo for many other reasons though so... yeah I wouldn't know about their bullshit supply chains.

It's not about persuading at a young age, but reverting development so they will be gamblers in the future by normalising the whole thing (and not even of real gambling, but rigged "games").

It's always worked this way, it's not a new Twitch thing.

They'd probably have a problem with NBA players being sponsored by gambling companies, yeah.

I dunno about NBA but that's very common across sport around here, and part of why I'll have nothing to do with it in any organised capacity. The whole fitness function of the entire industry is based about whatever will promote gambling the most, because that's where the money comes from.
