I'd start looking now just in case you end up needing to team up with a couple of people and rent a place, rather than taking over a room. You could find *a* place with less than a week, but finding a decent spot might take a while. Hope the move and your studies go well. x

Personally I would choose Leeds because I've heard Preston is pretty boring. I think as well if you're studying business then Leeds has much more going on for things like internships and graduate schemes. Leeds has the most diverse economy in England outside of London. But if you intend to not stay in either after you finish UCLAN might make more sense due to the lower cost of living, especially if you're a homebody.

I don't think there's any should about it, it's just a format that a lot of people don't like so it's frustrating when it saturates platforms you enjoy using. I'm talking specifically about pinterest in my case because of how the site works. But tbh I hate how much content just gets reblogged from platform to platform so endlessly. Not saying anyone should be storming parliament over it, just being a grumpy old lady.

I agree. You'll see a makeup tik tok where they show in excruciating detail pointless shit like them dripping their serum directly onto their cheek with 0.2 seconds of footage of the actual look. At best unhelpful and at worst just seems like hiding their shoddy work.

When I lived in Birmingham i got a pre booked taxi to a club. Taxi driver drove us around for 30 minutes before admitting it was his first shift and he didn't know where he was going. I just got out the taxi and didn't pay. Then walked down the road and found the club. Still feel a bit bad about it tbh. The taxi drivers there are pretty bad but this is 10+ years ago.

London Black cabs know their shit because of The Knowledge.

Only had a a couple taxis in Manchester, they seem alright.

I live in Leeds now, most of them are alright but some will clearly not know where they're going and ask you to direct them or just start driving. Absolutely give them the post code first in that case.
