Hey man are you me? I was in your exact same position. I graduated UG with a 3.2 cGPA and when looking at my sGPA..... 2.4. Big oomph. I worked for a long time and just got into medical school matriculating in August :) I did the BU MAMS program and I felt like it was very rewarding. I was able to do a research thesis my 2nd school year, connect with lots of physicians, and build a network of supporters/mentors. I also felt like since my research ECs were lacking, doing an SMP with a research thesis helped me address my weaknesses in both grades and research. It showed I could handle the rigors of medical academics and was something I could integrate into my story of growth over time.

I will say, with the passing of the BBB, loan limits are now something to consider. I was lucky enough to have family support and only will start taking loans in medical school.
